Caverns & Caves

Fantastic caverns is a vast and beautiful underground cave that was discovered by John Knox in 1862. Today, visitors can enjoy a guided tour in a Jeep-drawn tram through the cave, which is located just northwest of Springfield. The cave has a fragile backdrop of ancient features and only allows for controlled tours through the fascinating underground landscape.

Being disabled on an electric scooter, this place was VERY accessible, & the staff very friendly & helpful. Loved the jeep tour! Nice visitor center with many interesting things to look at. The grounds are well kept and beautifully serene. We were passing by, & couldn't resist stopping in because of the jeep tour since I miss out on caving. Lovely way to pass an HR or 2!

I found this place just by going on Google Maps and looking for things to do in Springfield this past weekend. I'm SO glad I found this location tucked away where it was. I had an absolute blast here! The tour guide was amazing, very knowledgeable and able to answer a very wide margin of questions! The tour lasted about an hour overall, but what you learn and see is worth all the time spent there. The cavern is very warm as well, especially during the months like March here in Missouri. The employees were extremely nice and pleasant to talk to. I loved every moment of being in the cavern. They have a lot of souvenirs that you can purchase and while I was there the majority of the items were 50% off! I would definitely recommend everyone there for a nice guided tour through an amazing cavern!

This was a nice activity that did not cost our family of four a hundred dollars. Our son actually could enter for free (5 and under). The tour is pleasant and worth a trip once. Our guide was fun and knowledgeable. Google maps takes you right there otherwise it would be hard to find. It is in the middle of nothing but farm land and limited signage.

John Hartmann — Google review

Very interesting cave and the tour guides were great. I wish the experience had been a little longer, and that the signage once we were closer was better. After seeing what felt like hundreds of signs on the interstate, once we were close and trying to get there the signs stopped and we almost didn't go because it felt like we had gotten totally lost -- and then the cave was there.Overall I'm glad we found our way and got to see it as the formations were really interesting and beautiful.

Morgan Perry — Google review

Such a fun tour—you sit the whole time and they drive you around the caves. They give you science and history, demonstrations about the original discovery and exploration to the secret speak easy during prohibition. There is a trail you can walk down after to enjoy the wooded bluff. Very peaceful!

Lauren Milam — Google review

Awesome experience for the family. Worth the stop. Had to wait a little after buying the tickets but the visitor’s center has a large gift shop, antiques and other historical artifacts from the caves past on display to entertain you for a bit. The tour is a little over an hour. The tour isn’t rushed. The propane powered Jeep takes stops along its route in the cave to let the tour guide share great insight into the caves history and features. Watch your head as in some parts of the cave you will have to duck. The cave truly is fantastic!

Joel Hernandez — Google review

AMAZING!!! This was a last minute decision today! WOW!! My husband and I loved this tour. Our guide Heather was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and very informative. Such a great stop! $33.91 per person (with tax) and at the end you get a photo! (Typically, photos taken are extra, but here it’s included. Nice surprise) I get cold easily so I took my blanket with me. Grab some popcorn for the ride. It’s tasty! Highly suggest this tour.

Did this tour with my 6yr old son as we were passing through the area. Didn't bring our dogs with us as my mom opted to stay at the campsite with them but thought it was really cool how pet friendly this place is and will allow you to bring them along for the ride. My son and I both really enjoyed the tour and our tour guide. My son talked the whole ride and our guide never once seemed annoyed by his silly questions/comments. The drive going out to the location itself was very scenic and beautiful to top it off. Would definitely recommend this attraction to anyone in the area!

Heidi Halwa — Google review

Such a cool experience and the kids loved it! It is easy to do. Just show up, hop on a tram, and get a great tour of the caverns. It was nice for families because you don't have to herd kids through a cavern that could stress you out more than be a fun event. Rather this tour will give you the experience without any unnecessary stressors.I'd also recommend walking the property by the stream. It was beautiful.

Ryan Carey — Google review

The most amazing experience ever! This cave tour was so breathtaking. You will learn so much about the cave as well as seeing the most unbelievable rock formations and stalactites on your journey through the dark and mysterious cave. The tour guide was so spectacular and knowledgeable about all the history of the cave. I absolutely loved it.

Great time at Fantastic Caverns. Very interesting and informative guide provides detailed history. From ticket booth to jeep easy and convenient. Good for seniors and those with cave phobia as there is no walking. Beautiful grounds. Nice gift shop. Recommended.

I have been trying to get here for over 30 years, now I'm kicking my tail for not making it a priority. I will return & it will be much sooner than 30 years LOL. I'm horrible with names, our lady guide was phenomenal ❣️ It's about an hour excursion, information packed. Absolutely amazingly fantastic experience. Great for all ages. It's cool, 60°s F so dress accordingly, they have warm clothes for sale in the gift shop as well as lots of other goodies. Please remember gratuity 💕

Angela James — Google review

What a FANTASTIC tour! Perfect for families and the older crowd not interested in a walking tour. Our tour guide Darla was great. She took the time to answer all questions even when a youngster asked if she liked her red jeep. It was informative, interesting and fun.

Yoli Reynolds — Google review

I love anything outdoors, and visiting Caverns is one of those places I must visit. This was the first time I visited a Cavern that drove into the Cavern in a trailer. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. She did an awesome job at explaining and giving details at every point we made a stop. There's also a gift shop inside, and I found some amazing natural products like the ones you see in the photos. I've been collecting artisan soaps along the way. Most of the soaps I've purchased are from local family-owned stores. I have to say the smell and quality are amazing.

Gloricel Rios — Google review

Visited the cave on a weekday evening, and there was no wait. The tour guide was knowledgeable and she seemed to genuinely love her job. The experience was unique since you ride through on a tram. However, the tour was short (under an hour) considering the admission cost. There are some tight spaces where you will have to lean forward. You should also consider buying your tickets individually as each ticket comes with a free photograph.

Johnson — Google review

Call me slow, I won’t mind. But this was my first trip through the Fantastic Caverns. I loved it!I was a little claustrophobic in the beginning as you ride down into the mouth of the cave but the tour guides are great at keeping you informed and distracted. The Fantastic Cavern cave is beautiful and very well preserved. The tour is very informative and comfortable. Tours are hourly, with the last departure happening at 4pm.

Karen Dubya — Google review

Fantastic Caverns is a wonderful little surprise just outside Springfield Missouri. We had a group of eight, four adults, four children, and we were able to get on a tour within 10-20 minutes of arrival. The unique thing about this cave tour was that the whole tour is done from the comfort of a trailer being pulled by a Jeep. This makes it a great choice for young children, elderly or any visitors with mobility issues. Mark, our tour guide, gave us all the pertinent safety info before we headed out. During the tour he stopped and got out at specified stops along the way to give us a little history on the cave, and to show off the magnificent structures inside. This made it easy to get some good photos inside. He delivered the history and stories about the cave with all the wit and humor you expect from a great tour guide. If you are in the area, I recommend stopping in and checking it out.

James Marsh — Google review

Went on a field trip with the kids and had a great time. It is very clean and looks freshly remodeled. The gift shop has some nice merchandise at reasonable prices. The guides were friendly and spoke loud and clear so you could hear them. Everyone had a good time.

Jason Stewart — Google review

This was a really fun experience! A great way to spend the afternoon, walk around the property and amphitheater area, and walk around the inside and gift shop. The tour lasts an hour, and it is perfect temperature inside. Be prepared for a couple drips of cave water on you! Almost everyone in our group got at least one! I absolutely loved our tour guide, a really enthusiastic older man. He explained the history really well, and cracked jokes and very enjoyable. Overall a fun place to visit if you want to spend a few hours learning about an old cave, and seeing some beautiful rock formations!

Maria Foster — Google review

We had a good time. I'm glad I was able to manage the ride. That being said, I do want to mention a few things for any using walking assistant items. It is a long walk from parking to inside (the first picture just takes you to the line-up going down to the building). There is plenty to see and read about while in-line. Luckily there wasn't a line that day. There is a nice gift shop to look at while waiting for your turn. The one big complaint I have is getting in and out of the restroom. I had a small wheelchair and barely made it in. I couldn't close the door and it was to tight to get the chair turned. While trying to back out I would get hung up on something sticking out from the wall. Thankfully another guest helped me back up to get out.I was able to get on the tram (with some help) and enjoyed the cave. I was shaky by the end and getting off was trickier. It's hard to find attraction you can do when you have limitations. I'm glad this was worth it.

Christina Varnum — Google review

Spent $30 per ticket. It was a nice cave to not have to walk. Had it not been for the educational stops, it would not have lasted the hour it did. I was expecting a longer ride, but it is actually kinda short. This should be more like a $20 to $25 ticket. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and had a great personality. The gift shop was nice also. This ride is also dog friendly.

The Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium features an aquarium with huge tanks full of fish. The aquarium has different environments like the ocean and a river, as well as 4D wildlife dioramas.

Wow 2 hours was definitely not enough time to really enjoy this place. We arrived late, and the ticket booth informed us that the delivery guided tour usually takes about 3h 45 min to get through. We paid full price and did it anyway, walking through most of it and stopping at the most interesting things we came across.Towards the end of the aquarium, you'll find a large pool of sting rays and manta rays. As they good across the water, you're allowed to gently brush against their wings with two fingers as they pass by. We found them to be somewhat shy. Out of the ten minutes my 4-year old and I spent with our hands in the pool, we pet maybe 2 rays.Note: You'll see the ray pool about midway through the aquarium, but don't stress yourself out trying to find it. It's literally near the end of the tour and you'll get there eventually. Enjoy the aquarium first!

My husband & I took our 13 year old son & 7 year old daughter here. We all 4 absolutely loved it & had a great time! It was worth the money & I would love to go back! I would allow yourself 4-5 hour's to tour the museum & aquarium! There are lots of benches to be able to sit & rest throughout the tour, several restrooms throughout the tour, water fountains located at almost every restroom location, wheelchair & stroller paths throughout the entire tour, all of the staff we came across were very friendly & would answer any questions you had about the animals.

Tracy — Google review

I am visiting the latest time in January 2024. Almost everything is open, and the experience is great for adults and children. I highly recommend taking your time. A quick pass through is about 2 hours (especially with small children), but seeing it all and taking time to feed the eels at the end can easily make it 4 hours or more.

Christopher M. Bingham — Google review

This was our first time visiting the Aquarium and it was well worth it! We went later in the day, had less than 2 hours before it was closing, but that made for a very quiet/empty visit which was nice. We didn't have to try to wait for people to finish with exhibits to see them ourselves. Highly recommend this if you're in the area!

Chris Hammond — Google review

A little pricey but definitely worth it. We spent close to 5 hours there and still didn't see everything. One of our favorite things was petting the stingrays. They also have spots to grab a bite to eat there. There are elevators for wheelchairs and strollers. Very family friendly oriented. I recommend anyone in the area to stop by and enjoy this place.

Amanda Berry — Google review

Outstanding and you just have to take your time to soak it all in, or you'll miss something! There's so much beauty and history all in one place for you to enjoy! Every room is loaded with more and more...... worth taking the day to explore and worth spending the money to explore! It's worthy of an additional visit incase we missed something the first time! You won't be disappointed! What an asset to the entire area! 👏

RedBullKC — Google review

It was worth the trip from Tennessee and the money. Everywhere you look there is so much to see. And included, one of the largest bass pro shops, you could be in there for hours. In the Bass pro, they have a couple museums, knife sharpening, a very large ladies wear and men's wear section, and a section of gifts to get for relatives or friends. Now back on to the aquarium and museum portion, when starting out, I kind of got turned around, then it was smooth sailing after thanks to the handy signs all throughout pointing towards the next part of the adventure. The staff had the best manner, so friendly, helped you with whatever you needed, and the customer service was fantastic. I would give yourself 5 to 6 hours to get through everything. They have veterans and handicap parking, they also have a veterans discount on the tickets as well. Hope this helps!

Loved our visit to this aquarium! We’ve been to over a dozen around the country and so far this is our favorite. I was constantly amazed by how CLEAR and CLEAN the water was to see everything- and the decor/atmosphere of the aquarium is what sets it apart. The way they make you feel like you’re underwater, in a cave, in the Amazon etc is just incredible and detailed and makes the exhibits that much cooler. We loved the interactive portions to feed sting rays, touch tanks, make shark hats and decorate animals that show on the wall. We spent about 3 hours there and it was definitely worth the cost. We went first thing in the morning and though it got busier toward the end, because it’s so big it didn’t feel crowded until the bathrooms/cafe area. Highly recommend if in the area!

Emily H — Google review

Easily hands down one of the very best aquariums we have ever been too in our entire life!! We can definitely see why it is rated the best because it simply is the best!! You can see the thought that went into making it perfect especially for the little ones. The views, pictures, and even the exhibits were all awesome. We spent almost 6 hours going through it all. All 3 parts even did one on one with the penguins. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. We definitely would recommend it.

Tajeria Ellis — Google review

It was an incredible experience. We were able to explore all 3 places in one day and saw everything. The aquarium was really enjoyable and is huge. Lots of different tanks with a variety of animals inside. The younger kids loved it, and so did the adults.was constantly amazed by how CLEAR and CLEAN the water was to see everything- and the decor/atmosphere of the aquarium is what sets it apart. There's large, interactive screens that give information about the displays and what's in the tanks as well as smaller boards with interesting facts.I would highly recommend visiting the place. On our way out, we noticed there was a hotel across the street if anyone far from the area is interested in visiting and staying nearby. It's an amazing location,

We had a great visit. Beautiful aquarium. Everything was very clean and accessible. Very wheelchair friendly. All the animals appeared very well taken care of and in nice habitats. Staff were all helpful and friendly.

Kathy Jackson — Google review

The tickets are pricy but so worth it. The museum and aquarium are huge and all indoor. Real life penguins and alligators with a lot of taxidermy animals on display. It took us about 3 hours or so to see everything and that was going at a somewhat fast pace. They have a café for snacks and drinks about half way though before you reach the aquarium. Pretty cool experience and better than most zoos I have been to.

Samantha Baldyga — Google review

To start off, the ONLY reason this is not getting all 5 stars is because it is incredibly expensive. We went on a Monday during Thanksgiving break and surprisingly it wasn't very busy at first. The exhibits were amazing, we loved seeing the different types of marine animals in one tank and then seeing single tanks with smaller creatures. They had a great variety of non-aquatic animals as well and displays of freshwater animals. Their other exhibits, especially the amazing collection of Native American artifacts, was fantastic. My daughter (13yo) loves aquariums and we were told this was the best in the nation. It was not lacking in that aspect whatsoever. I didn't buy any food while there because it was crazy in prices as well. If you are on a budget, this aquarium won't be affordable.

T. Bunting — Google review

Enjoyed the penguins and aquarium the best! The aquariums are very creatively done with so much to see. There are crawl spaces for children to get even closer to some exhibits (some adults can fit and it's pretty cool). There were many more live animals than what I expected such as bats, snakes, black bear, alligator, crocodile, marmosets and more. The bathrooms were clean. Everything seemed well done and well taken care of.

care _444 — Google review

OMG! This is the most awesome place!!!!! When you walk in, the whole inside feels like another world. There is so much to see! The best part, you can go through the aquarium, leave to get food or charge the phone, and then come back and finish with the wildlife museum. It's an all day pass. The aquarium, the exhibits, the people, the feeding shows, everything is absolutely amazing. It's about a 2 to 3 hour viewing if you go straight through. There are strategic places to sit if you need a break here and there. There are divers that go into the tank and feed the fish. We were there on a Thursday and got to see the feeding show at about 1pm. Great great great place.

Nina Murdick — Google review

What an absolutely magical place to visit! There is something for everyone (unless you are claustrophobic) at the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium. I loved how the design makes you feel like you are actually underwater and able to experience how these creatures live beneath the surface. There are all kinds of nooks and crannies designed for cute photo-ops and your kids are all sure to leave having declared they have found their spirit animal. I have included mine in the pictures. There are tunnels and big open spaces, there is a ton of information about these creatures, and it all culminates in a room with stingrays for petting and an interactive sea wall where kids can draw their own creatures with messages and then watch them swim by!

Michelle Henry — Google review

The wildlife museum exceeded expectations. The quality of the taxidermy and settings was more realistic than I expected. The information screens hit the mark with key facts without being too long. The entire Bass Pro experience with Museums, Hall of Fames, Aquarium and Wildlife was a great way to spend an afternoon and morning. The Lewis and Clark exhibition and Native American collection was both enlightening and educational. Loved the photography exhibit and see this as an important way to tell the outdoors story. Our 4 year old granddaughter was engaged enough to enjoy the visit end to end. Highly recommend visiting.

Dick Flanigan — Google review

Listen, I've been to museums and zoos, but this place takes the cake on presentation. It's some of the best work I've ever seen.No "wonder" it took them a while to complete! It is a labyrinth of exhibits. Just when I thought it was going to be close to done, it kept going. We spent over 3 hours in there with a toddler, and the toddler made it! That's how great it was, he didn't get bored!!!!Well worth the money and time, you won't regret it unless you don't like leg day. They might be sore from all the stairs! You can get into a shark cage for another fee.Well done Johnny.

I love the outdoors and this is the place I take my family when I want to feel a little more outdoorsy. Great trails that you can push a stroller and animals everywhere it’s pretty much the best park around!

This is a fantastic spot. There is something for everyone. I saw humans from 1 to 80 enjoying the nature center and trails. So many interactive exhibits for kids and the trails are very accessible. Picnic areas available though no food is provided on site. Beautiful and well kept trails with fantastic trees, flowers, and wildlife. I could honestly spend the day there and the best part…it’s free of charge. Yep-#free. Helpful and friendly staff are there to guide you and answer questions. Truly a special place.

Cami Ward — Google review

This is a scenic area with nice well-marked trails. We hiked the Long Trail and enjoyed the fall colors. We will visit again when we're in town and do more exploring.

K O — Google review

It's a nice mix of different terrain. Compact gravel, dirt, muddy spots in wet weather, smooth and jagged rock, elevated platform walkways, small stream crossings with bridges are all there. It's well maintained. Nothing is too strenuous but there are hills if you chose to go down those trails. Almost always having tree cover, except for the winter months, it feels and looks great. Just don't expect great vistasThe only bad thing is the noise. It sits adjacent to and along highway 65 south of Springfield on the way to Ozark and Branson. The constant, loud drone of a major traffic way just can't be escaped anywhere here. I recommend some nice nature sounds in some earphones while you walk the trails. Just stay aware and safe.

Hilton A — Google review

Even after winter spurt, the temp Rose and created a very nice hike opportunity. An update in Feb 24, when you can't fish, at least get out for a bit of nature. Thanks

Beautiful wooded area with lots of trails and opportunities to view wildlife. The visitor's center has awesome hands-on displays that younger kids will love and learn from. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Seems like there is always a presentation that you can sit in on. I highly recommend spending some time here, hike a trail and enjoy.

Brad Hinz — Google review

This is a wonderful place to walk and see nature. The boardwalk is my favorite part. Didn't see as many animals as you would other times of the year but enough to make it interesting. Feel like you get a lot of exercise especially going back up the hill to the parking lot. Spring is the best time to go.

Christy Cox — Google review

I recently went here with my Mother-in-law. The trails were amazing and well kept. There was a wide variety of birds and wildlife. There is plenty of stuff to learn and see at the main building too. Im taking my family back here to learn about our state wildlife! Ive been here years ago but forgot about this gem in Springfield. Its amazing that you can start a trail by the highway and a mile down the road be surrounded by nature and bird calls. We completely forgot the highway was so close. Thank you to the Conservation Department for this wonderful gem!

Beautiful maintained trails. Nice and partially shaded. A bit of relaxation on the edge of the city. Kind of that feeling of getting out into the woods without going to far and you never know what to may see for creatures.

Beautiful trails. I spent 6 weeks in Springfield for school and came here to walk almost every day. The trails are well maintained. I could easily walk 3 or 4 miles without feeling like I was walking in circles. I always felt safe walking alone. Great place to take photos.

What a great store! Plus, it's a great place to take a pitstop. Pocket Knives, work tools, kmife sharpeners, grinding/sharpening attachments, candles, stuffed animals, precious moments, clothing, chef's knives, cast iron, walnut bowls, pot holders,

Caverns & Caves

Named after an Osage Native American legend, this picturesque cave system hosts tours & weddings.

Absolutely beautiful what Mother Nature creates! This is by far one of my favorite caves now too! The location is reachable by vehicle or boat. Going into the main entrance it has a fabulous gift shop perfect to find some beautiful trinkets priced reasonably well. Our tour guide was helpful and even took the tour himself as a kid so it sure says a lot about this beautiful place. One to keep coming back for years to come! Truly stunning and a must see if you’re looking to explore a cave without the worry of animals.

Kimberly Inge — Google review

Me and my wife went to visit this place last weekend. Booked 2 tickets at the front desk at the shop which sells a lot of cool rock stuff (a bit pricey though). Was told to wait for about 30 min. Once the tour started, we had a bunch of about 12-15 people with our guide. The guide patiently explained all the formations inside the cave which looks so beautiful! The guided walking tour lasted for about 45 min. I've been to the Fantastic caverns (which has a vehicle driven tour) but IMO the bridal caves was much better! Totally exceeded my expectations! Once the tour got over, we also took a short .5 mile hike in the thunder mountain overlook. Overall, a very good place to spend about 1.5 hrs.

We were visiting friends for the holiday at the lake of the Ozark's - we wanted to do something different one afternoon . So we decided to check out bridal cave . It was very cool - my kids loved it and we did to. Tripcie was an awesome tour guide and answered all of our questions in detail. I’m glad we didn’t just hang around the house , but decided to have this cool adventure.

Tripsee was a fantastic tour guide. She told cool stories and was very engaging. She went out of her way to make my daughter first cave trip amazing and look forward to trying the black light tour.

Kyle Stegner — Google review

About $50 for our family of 3 to go on the ~1hr tour. The formations in this cave are very impressive. Apparently it is the 3rd most decorated cave in the US. Our tour guide was funny and informative and the way through the cave was easy. There were only a few short passages that required some bending over to get through. The pool at the far end of the cave is especially cool to see.

Dr. William Starsiak — Google review

Our group did the Blacklight tour and absolutely loved it! It was an amazing way to see the cave in a different “light” :) Our guide, Tripcie, was fantastic. She was and fun, shared a great history of the cave and loved answering our questions. This is a great experience for the entire family and groups of friends.

Joe Wilkinson — Google review

Fabulous experience! Our guide, Tripci, was a hoot and very knowledgeable! The tour has some very tight spots, both width and height, but traction is decent on the concrete walkways. Hand rails are available.Afrer a sneak peek of the cave with a black light, we are looking forward to returning for the black light tour. Photos are offered at the end of the tour for just $10.

Katryn Robinson — Google review

I still haven’t wrapped my head around how cool this place is. The cave is absolutely breathtaking and the tour was very informational. We had Tripcie as our tour guide and she was awesome. Being able to look through the photo albums of all the weddings (4,000+!!!) while we waited for our tour to start was also a really cool plus.

Erika — Google review

The best cave we've been to. Breathtaking views and The guide was VERY knowledgeable and allowed us to take all the photos we wanted. The parking lot is small for any big rigs though. Thankfully nobody parked in it so we could turn our RV around, but if it's full you won't be able to. Beautiful scenery and place to hang out or have lunch outside overlooking the lake, as well. We're bringing the grands next time, great stop!

Diane Nichols — Google review

Absolute must-see experience! Even if you've seen one cave before, no two are alike, so don't miss this one!I can't say enough about our tour guide, Tripsy! She was fun, outgoing, incredibly knowledgeable and made the whole experience even better than I expected! The area is gorgeous as well, overlooking the river, and you can hike Thunder Mountain.Great little gift shop, too! You can buy various sizes of "pay dirt" (seeded with genuine minerals from around the world), then take it over to their "mining" area where you can test out the panning process. You pour your bag, little bits at a time, into the screens, hold it under the running water to wash off the sand and dirt and discover the gemstones inside. Great experience for kids and adults alike, to see how the mining process works! (My friend's "kids" were 18 and 20, and even they loved it!)Spend a few hours, or a whole day here. You won't be disappointed!

Wendy Bradley — Google review

Great experience when you come to Bridal Cave. When you arrive there is a gold mining water station to interact with.. pretty cool for the kid’s. Next year we’re going to a gift shop that has all kinds of Geos, gemstones etc. and lots of things to choose from including T-shirts. Pretty cool, next year will be directed to go to the next pavilion which is also a gift shop with T-shirts and free fish food. You can hang out by a small waterfall or feed the fish while you wait for your cave tutor to start. Awesome experience with a very cool tour guide.

Dennis Mutz — Google review

We loved this tour!!!!!!!!!!! All the staff was friendly and welcoming. Our tour guide was amazing, she was very knowledgeable about the cave and made it fun and interesting! I wish I could recall her name and mention her here. You also get a great view of the lake.

Emily Reed — Google review

It’s absolutely amazing and you will not be disappointed visiting this place, the lake view is beautiful from this spot and the Bridal cave is a different experience, native Americans wedding ceremony was held here hence the name , it’s a one hour tour with guide taking about its history and formations. A little pricey and you pay extra 10$ for photo that they instantly click and give. The store is pretty with wind chimes, crystals, lamps etc

Hemalatha Krishnamoorthy — Google review

Our tour was done by Vivienne (i am not sure on the spelling) and she did an outstanding job! All of the staff were really friendly and the cave itself was beautiful!Highly recommend! Especially if it's reallt hot out! The cave is 60° F year round.

Charlie Erickson — Google review

It's a must see! Such an amazing experience. If you can, request Luke as your tour guide. He is very entertaining while he educates you on the history of Thunder Mountain and Bridal Caves. Smash a penny, mine for gems or take home your favorite tee-shirt or gem from the gift shop. I'm extremely claustrophobic but had zero issues on this tour. Enjoy!

Teresa Lynnette — Google review

This cave is a must visit of you like caves. Only 1/2 mile back, then return back out, but their are fun, narrow passageways ways that open into amazing 'rooms' with gorgeous displays of cave structures. Just enough lighting to take pictures. Jade, our guide was informative, friendly, passionate about her work, answered all our questions and thankfully didn't try to be a comedienne along the way.We will bring our 3 grandkids back this summer. They will LOVE it! ❤️

State park

Nature & Parks

Park

Scenic park featuring the ruins of a 20th-century castle, plus trails, caves & more amid lake views.

This is such a great place to go and enjoy nature, hand build castle and water tower ruins are amazing and the trails are spectacular! Stop by enjoy this State Park when you're in the area, it will not disappoint you even if you're just admiring from a parking spot. Handicap accessible spots throughout, just pick up a map at the entrance off of D highway or one of the entrances to the trails. Such a great place to visit while @ Lake of the Ozarks for sure! The Castle, Spring / falls area, Island are just a few of the many attractions here to enjoy.

JD Offield — Google review

This park is frequented by many locals because it’s a beautiful getaway. My favorite part was the island trail and the beautiful waters. All trails are pretty well marked and maintained. We were out in nature without getting lost.Well positioned porta-potties around the park, and very well marked road signs. The castle is a nice piece of history, but apparently some of the bikers visiting the area figured they could walk wherever they want (pic attached). Despite all the railings and signs, she jumped the rails and walked around & inside the castle. There were no rangers in site to enforce the rules, and it’s people like this, that forced the park to close the castle off to visitors in the first place. (Admin, contact me for license # if you want it).Other than that, the views & history of the area are spectacular. It’s definitely worth a visit. We stayed at the Lake of the Ozarks State Park while visiting the area, and it has some nice trails too.

Janet S — Google review

Hiked several trails, castle ruins, spring, boat dock. It was a hot one so we opted to do just a couple of hikes. GPS works and will take you to the starting points of each trail and park and hike. We went to the castle ruins and read all the signs to learn the history (if you want to learn more of the history, pick up a Lake of the Ozarks travel Mag it's Free and it will tell you more) beautiful view and amazing birds over head, you can look down at the spring and see the color changes. Hiked down from the ruins to the boat dock and walked along that to look at the lake, lots of rocks and roots could be challenging for some, amazing views (did not see any animals on this trail at this time). Then we drove to the spring trail entrance. Easy parking and the trail begins going down a small wooden deck. You can go either left or right. We went left and there are some blockages because they are restoring some of the erosion so the trail is rerouted in some spots. After hiking through the wooded trails you come to a concrete trail then a deck trail, when crowded with people makes it a bit tight to get through, but is a lovely view and trail. Not stroller or wheelchair friendly (keep in mind). The restoration project to remove the gravel and restore the land from erosion is a wonderful project and our State Parks do a great job as to try to keep this beautiful area alive but some people just suck and do not seem to care about nature and you can see cups and water bottles and some people walk on the area being restored. If you are that kind of person, don't visit nature just stay on your couch. Keep your personal belongings pack away in a back pack as you really do not need it during this part of the hike. It is a shaded area and you can wait to drink your drink or eat your snack. Children should not bring toys to accidently drop on this delicate beauty of nature, that will be trampled on to retrieve.

Truly a little gem of Missouri! Being from Virginia, I spend most of my time section hiking the AT and never expected to find such a pretty place in the Midwest. I am thankful did and I loved how it was accessible for all people. Such a gorgeous place. You should find go. :-)

William Fritzler — Google review

What a cool castle! The beauty that abounds here is incredible! It’s stunning to be amidst the relics of what’s left but what is most beautiful are the views! We enjoyed reading the history, taking it all in, going on a hike, and having a picnic lunch down below by the spring! A must see!

Monique Murphy — Google review

This place is amazing. There is a lot to do and see here. Some really interesting terrain and features. Hikes about 9 miles and saw all of it. The castle is pretty cool but my favorite part was the hike around the island and from the island up to the castle that led by the Natural Bridge and the sinkhole. Well-maintained trails and facilities. Many opportunities for the elderly or kids as there is plenty of paved trails and access areas. Check out some of the photos I took while exploring here.

Brian Emmons — Google review

Gorgeous. Water is so clean. We walked around and read signs on the trail by the spring. Quite easy compared to the other trails we've done. All directions give you everything you need to know. We walked up all the stairs we could handle and carved out names into one of the platforms on the stairs as we saw others did too. Next time will definitely be taking kayaks out to explore further.

Andrea Sachs — Google review

Ha Ha Tonka State Park Is Awesome! The hiking trail is absolutely beautiful! I went there on my hiking trip with The US Army BOSS Program and it was great! The water, the trees, and the rocks were all beautiful and great to see. Without any doubt I strongly recommend going to Ha Ha Tonka State Park because it’s a definitely a great adventure and opportunity worth taking advantage of. Have a great day!

Jack Carello — Google review

It was a nice walk to the Castle ruins. All paved sidewalks. Many people brought their dogs. The walk down the hill to the stream was beautiful. Nice wooden steps. There is also an area to park where you can have a flat hike to the stream. Both very pretty.

Shelly Dagenais — Google review

This was a great park with some beautiful sites! The weather was a little grey and rainy and it was still an amazing trip! I didn’t have as much time as I would have liked to be able to hike to some other spots, but what I got to see was great!

Nikki Moore — Google review

Gorgeous Park! We hiked the Spring Trail up to the Dell Rim Trail to see the castle. The Spring water was so pretty and clear. We saw turtles and some birds there too. So many hiking trails around the park and many were pretty short. After we hiked back from the castle we drove to the trail head for the Natural Bridge and it was a quick 300ft descent to the feature.

Sasha Stewart — Google review

The cool sites are great because they're all easily accessible and only a short hike from a parking lot. I say that because we went here on a 100+ degree day with our kids (aged 2, 4, 6 and 9). They complained a lot, but hey...what can you expect. You can't access the castle as you could a few years back when we came. It's just a beautiful area, lots of trees, and beautiful views. Worth a stop for sure.

Kate Stone — Google review

Amazing scenery. Absolutely amazing place to visit when in the area! The only thing I'd recommend is that a few first aid stations are placed. My daughter fell on a trail and hurt herself pretty bad. There wasn't any place for her to clean up that was close by without driving too. Then the first aid kit, she had to find someone to help her access, didn't have proper supplies.

Angel Howell — Google review

The trails are really nice but poorly indicated. There are multiple trails using the same color markers which makes navigation rather difficult. They should definitely expand their color pallet to help differentiate the trails.Half of the maps on the park are so damaged from graffiti and vandalism that they are illegible. The online maps are not much help either based on my previous comment. It's also very disappointing that the stone structures are inaccessible to visitors. They have signs posted everywhere that the structures are unstable and you can't go past that point, it's asinine. These buildings have stood for how long at this point? Just let people walk around the courtyard in the castle and water tower, nothing bad is going to happen. It's overall a pretty cool park, but it's not one I'm going to really recommend unless some things are addressed.

Cody Holland — Google review

HIking through the woods is how I'm spending the later years with my wife. There's that feeling while you're both hiking and not talking of being so alone in the woods and yet so close to your loved one. We were here for hours and would love to go back again

The Great Satan — Google review

A favorite place take photos! There is beauty year around. It’s a highly recommended spot for vacationers and a regular spot to hike for locals. There is a very nice little park with a spot for kids to play and picnic benches.

Bethany Weeks — Google review

November isn't exactly the prime month to see this park, but we had a great experience walking the trails and taking in the beauty. I couldn't imagine spending more than a day at HA HA, but it was an outstanding day-trip location

John Nevers — Google review

Absolutely beautiful, peaceful and amazing! By far my favorite place so far in Missouri. The park and castle ruins are clean, the signs are easy to find and read. Do Not go past the barriers/ markers. This is a must go for anyone who enjoys nature and or history.

Factory Outlets

This is a huge space, essentially a big outdoor mall but a lot of stores were closed probably since covid. It was still a good place to park and use the public restrooms as we were visiting lake of the ozarks.

Shiona Deliozar — Google review

This has always been a nice set of outlet mall stores, but at this point two-thirds of them have moved on or gone out of business. I often shop at the Eddie Bauer outlet, which has some good clothing at reasonable prices.

Philip Kurle — Google review

It was a very nice place to shop. But now it's pretty much a ghost mall like ALL across America they want to build on the other side of the street and then it cost more money to bring back the old business back to current standards. I see it around Fort Leonard wood in St Robert and the internet don't help either

Steven New — Google review

Terribly upset that this place has rundown so much! Not very many stores left. Super sad! Great deals at the stores that remain.

melissa chevalier — Google review

Even though this Mall has very few stores left, Bath & Body Works is open, clean, & well stocked. The numerous Staff members are cheerful and extremely helpful.

Lisa Augustyn — Google review

Very interesting establishment, went off season and it felt like I was the star of Spirited Away 2. Love all the little shops, at least those that are left, however where there are no shops, they allowed it to rot. No upkeep has made it seem like the sirens went off in Silent Hill. Beyond that maybe a better more visible detailed map to your guests to know what shops exist and where would be fabulous upon entering.

pa1n1san1llus1on — Google review

It's a shadow of it's former glory. More closed down stores than open. If no one else has said this before, it's hardly an "Outlet" as we know it anymore. So often I have to inform visitors that shopping there is not what they're expecting. I'm not diminishing the experience and quality of the remaining stores however I certainly would not consider it to be an "Outlet Mall".

Nathan Mays — Google review

Went here last year and I loved the place. I bought shoes and clothes at a very affordable price. Had fun going at different stores and purchased things at a low price.Sad thing was, few stores were open. There were just two food stores, the Auntie Anne’s and the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.

Jill — Google review

The plaza itself is gorgeous. I was very disappointed to see that most of the shops including the Wacky Knacky Diner and the ice cream shop had closed. Most of the shops left are men's apparel and tool shops. The Osage popcorn shop is a must see. Very nice and very good popcorn.

Chris Carter — Google review

I visit the Lake of the Ozarks at least times a year, and it is sad to see the many outlet stores closed. Do not waste your time unless you want to rimenience about what was there. I couldn't believe the Coach store was gone, so SAD!

Pamela Manning — Google review

I went with my sister and the prices were way to high for a second hand shop. The place has colored tags and each day the sale is a different color of tag but good luck finding anything with the sale color of tag, I am thinking they pull them all just to make you think they are really helping you. I could not find anything at all that day even non sale items were way to high to buy anything. I was so disappointed. The girls were so distracted that worked behind the counter ,they were not paying any attention to the lady wanting to ask a question that stood there in front of the counter for several min ,she finally left . Then they were making fun of customers so loud i could hear them several feet away . Dont waste your time coming here the stuff was way to high and junk really .

Dana Phillips — Google review

This place is on its last legs, about 9 empty storefronts for every active store. It's run down and dirty and would be the perfect movie set for a zombie apocalypse. That's being said, we still drop by everytime we visit the Ozarks cause the few stores that are still open we like to shop at.

J Ferguson — Google review

We went to the Bath & Body Works store here. Everyone that worked there was very helpful and polite. It was pretty packed since it was just the day before Christmas Eve. I love Bath & Body Works and will always go back.

Dawn Mensah — Google review

Such a shame, this used to be a great place to shop and look around. I remember when it was full of stores, but now, basically empty. The looks of this center is eye catching, and could be great again, if some businesses moved in. Stores that are still there, are nice to look at. Online shopping is a great alternative, but unfortunately puts places like this out of business. Fingers crossed it will make a comeback.

The wine is delicious! Just as importantly, the staff is amazing, I haven’t met anyone so nice. Such a gem we found in our travels cross country. Worth the stop. The sparkling blush is amazing if you like a sweet bubbly. Thanks for the hospitality st. James!!!

John — Google review

So we decided to stop by and check out a tasting. I've seen the wine all over the country and I waited to buy any until I could come in person to judge for myself. We enjoyed the tasting. We chose the peach options as they were nice crisp clean wines.I wasn't super impressed with the red wines. We came in about 3pm and it wasn't busy and really wasn't informed about the wines we were tasting. We were just given the list we chose from. I wished there would of been a little more personalized to the wine description. We were told about the awards and vague about the history of the winery.

B Gray — Google review

I've stopped here for many years on my travels via I-44. My parents used to stop here when I was a kid traveling with them. Just stopped again the other day. Friendly staff that helps you find what you need, great wine and other merchandise. Very clean restrooms to. Enjoy wine, beer, meat, and cheeses. Enjoy!

Lance Neuses — Google review

So cute! Well stocked store. The employees are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. We stopped here on a whim, tried a flight of wines (6 for $8), and found some new favorites!

Steffi Cooley — Google review

Good variety of wines. The wine flight is fun and convenient. The frozen drinks are good too if you like bourbon flavored drinks. Atmosphere is great. I wish they offered more food options besides crackers and chips. Cheeses, grapes, various meats, etc. would be nice to see. None the less, very well worth a stop.

Domenic Barbeiro — Google review

Was there on Aug 5th. Service was ok, the guy server was great. The woman server mixed up what wines were on my wine board to what was on the paper, therefore I had to use my taste buds to figure out what wines were what. The wines were delicious. Other than the mix up everything else was good. Slushies were fantastic as well. Atmosphere is so so. Atmosphere really makes a winery for me so that is why I rated it a 3. Would go back again due to how their wine taste.

This place is great. The grounds are always nice, and it's right off the highway which is nice. As you can pick up what you want, and get right back on the road. They have a various selection of wine which makes it easy for both my wife, and myself to find wines that each of us enjoy.

Matt Therault — Google review

We were in Branson for our anniversary and decided to check out this little gem. We walked in and were immediately seated which is a plus. The waitress was amazing. We ordered the meatball trio, queso and chips and a brick oven pizza, loaded with sausage, peppers, onions, mushrooms and olives. It was delicious. Also ordered a bottle of Chardonnay. We had an amazing time and took 2 more bottles to go! Will definitely return the next time we're in Branson!

Lisa Schultz — Google review

A massive cave (with guided tours) is a main draw of this woodland with a lake, river & campsite.

One of the best caves in Missouri. Good trails, nice gift shop, and good mini museum.

Mark Engelhardt — Google review

I took my almost 6 year old daughter here for a daddy daughter fun day. We had an absolute blast. Our tour guide was very helpful and informative. The cave itself is magnificent and is definitely worth the $15 admission. The gift shop and museum were very nicely put together. The prices of souvenirs, toys and things were very reasonable making this a great place to take the family. I highly recommend visiting. Make sure you wear good shoes with a lot of grip/tread as you will be walking up very steep rock ramps which can be slick. Overall, a great place. My daughter literally wanted to go right back on the tour again as soon as we finished.

Dan Bryant — Google review

This is a awesome cave a must see if your in the area cheap tour takes about 1.5 hours to go through lots of beautiful formations they have a place to keep your dog when you go on tour this was the best part if our vacation

Mark Browder — Google review

By far my favorite cave in Missouri. We got lucky with a small group and our tour guide Liz was great! We got a little peek of the original boat entrance which was so cool to see! She showed us a little brown bat, a frog and a baby salamander. Although the walk up to the lily pad room was enough to make me stop to catch my breath, it was the coolest area to see! Liz gave us plenty of time to do just that. Overall, we had a fantastic time.

I visited Saturday, July 10, 2021 and visited Cathedral and Onondaga Caves. I purchased tickets to both at the visitor’s center, which opened promptly at 10am. Both caves tours were guided and extraordinary. I am so glad I visited. The Cathedral Cave was limited to 15 people as of now and there are only 2 tours on Weekend days. Cathedral Cave is not lit and you are provided a flashlight. The formations were phenomenal. Onondaga is more touristy with lighting and better walkways. Wear boots for the slippery floors and take a sweater for both. It was a great way to get out of the heat in the summer. Would go again.

Jen Lachowiec — Google review

One of the best caves I have seen.Kassidy was our tour guide. She was very informative. The path was a bit steep, but had groves for traction. The formations were absolutely beautiful, and so many colors. It is also a good work out, but so beautiful you do not notice how far you walk.Prices were decent.Gift shop had some cheap prices and some expensive.Beautiful flowers outside.

Kaitlin Bugh — Google review

Gorgeous Cave and nice outdoor trails. A guy on my cave tour had visited Fantastic Caverns a few days before and said this one was much better.

Scott Lakeside — Google review

Top notch state park. We stayed at site 22 one night and site 64 one night in a tent. Both sites had electricity and water. We used the electricity to air up our mattress. I used the water to rinse out my wife's coffee cup. Vault toilets and showers houses with flush toilets are available. We at Skippy's a nearby restaurant. There are float trips available on the Meramec River. You can get information about the float trips in the Visitors Center as well as buy tickets for the Cave tour. The cave tour was excellent. Tasha was a great guide.

Dan Fossoy — Google review

The cave tour was great. My son and I loved the history and learning about the formations. The tour was about an hour and a half and took us pretty deep into the cave. The cave can only be toured with a bought tour. Wear sneakers, it will be cool as well. Bring a sweatshirt.

Joe Abellard — Google review

Beautiful, amazing, well worth the visit. The knowledge and charisma of our spelunking tour guide Sandy made the tour even more special. Thanks Sandy.

This park has been a staple in our camping group's yearly rotation for a long time now. The river is great in the summertime and the hiking trails are beautiful in the fall. The campground is nice and flat, perfect for the little ones to ride bikes. The back loop is a lot of fun with a group.

Casey Boyer — Google review

A beautiful park. I needed somewhere to walk my dog and stretch my legs on my long drive and the little trails here were perfect. Very well maintained and tranquil with sounds of the geese and bullfrogs on the lake. We went right as night fell and it was safe as well.

Amazing experience, wonderful guides and lots of interesting things to see! The gift shop is cute and there's a room next to it with pelts and taxidermy critters in it for education. Well priced, camp grounds with and without electricity. Beautiful park and cave system.

Emily Mullen — Google review

Onondaga State Park is one of the best state parks in Missouri and one of the coolest caves that we have had the pleasure of visiting.Cave Tour: While we were there, the Cathedral Cave Tour was not running so I can only speak to the Onondaga Cave Tour. This was an absolutely amazing tour. The tour starts off kind of slowly, the first room only a glimpse of the amazing formations to come. For people who might be afraid of caves this one is not bad, the rooms are huge, you never feel squeezed at any point. The Lost River flows right through the cave very slowly. The rooms in the cave were highly decorated, especially the Rock of Ages. The queen's drapery is also another highlight. This tour is $15 per person and highly worth it. The park naturalist did a great job giving this tour.Campground: We stayed one night at the campground in Site 1. We enjoyed this campground vey much. It was quite, I wish they turned some of the lights off in the campground that were making it hard to stargaze. The campground has all the basics that anyone would need. I can not say anything was super great about it, but nothing was bad either.Trails: We did the Deer Run Trail from the campground while we were there. The trails are not well traveled as we probably walked through at least 100 spider webs on the trail. They seemed to well maintained but not utilized.Overall, we highly recommend this park for anyone in the area.

Nice show cave, Max did a great job as tour guide. The only heads up some of the walk ways are very steep. Beautiful cave, one of best cave tours I've been on

We had a good time. Your was informative and entertaining. Tour guide was pleasant and humorous. They have treats and souvenirs. Just about any age can go through the cavern tour. You do need to be physically able to stand/walk for at least 45-50 minutes without taking a break. Also have to climb stairs without assistance. Bring a rescue inhaler if you have asthma as a precaution. The last leg of the caverns has a steep staircase to climb and the air is thick/hotter at the top. It’s not a difficult climb, but it was enough to make my asthma flare up. Wear shoes with traction. Some areas are slick. It is one of those places you wanna check off your bucket list.

This was great! Very well put together tour. Our guide, Mia, was amazing and very knowledgeable. She made it so much fun! I loved learning about the history of the cave and seeing all the formations. Mia was able to answer so many questions and knew her stuff! So happy we got her as our guide. Can’t wait to go back!

Worth it. We enjoy cave tours and cave exploring as a family. We've seen this cave numerous times on our drive and being in the area. Cost had deterred us from impulsively visiting (larger family). We decided to go by when it was just a few of us and are glad we did. It is worth the cost. This was the best cave tour we have had, and it is full of fascinating information and features. The tour wasn't short, which makes the cost hard to justify. The tour was a perfect duration and very eventful. If you are thinking about this tour I recommend it.I'll also note that our tour guide, Carter, was great and we strongly recommend him!

Basically a "middle of the country" tourist attraction; with gift shop, restaurant, and one-hour guided cave tour that is well-maintained. You are allowed to walk about 300 feet into the cave to the main ticket entrance. The actual tour was a little over a mile. The sights were beautiful and the way that they use the colored lights made it really interesting. The water that is so pure you don’t even know that it’s there. Guides do a nice job of telling stories. The last leg of the caverns has a steep staircase to climb and the air is thick/hotter at the top. It’s not a difficult climb, but it was enough to make my asthma flare up. Wear shoes with traction. Some areas are slick.

Beautiful, interesting cave system. Very modern, cement walkways all the way through, handrails and good lighting. Our guide had a slight speech impediment that made it hard to figure out what he was saying I could only figure out part of what he was telling us. The grape room is magical, anyone reading this you need to go here ASAP. I enjoyed the theater and presentation but was sorely disappointed when Kate Smith's rendition of God Bless America was not played.

Finally bucked up and took the family. We normally drive past for camping and our other outdoor activities. That's definitely going to change for the rest of our life! Price was great! Guide and employees were amazing and we literally had a awesome time! Do be me at 30 years of age and miss this fantastic cheap incredible experience

A great stop if you're in the St. Louis area. The caverns are very cool and interesting. The walk is pretty easy and the different cave formations are just awesome. The tour guides are very informative and the place is absolutely kid friendly. Enjoy the tour!

Meramac Caverns was so much fun! We had a blast. The ropes course was great. Fear inducing and strength building. The caverns were a little more touristy than we normally like. Lots of concrete and bars but the jungle and upper chamber were worth the money. Our tour guide was wonderful and funny. Five Stars All Day 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Alex was our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, funny and patient with my kids asking many questions throughout the tour. It was pricey but well worth It! I do suggest wearing good walking shoes since it is a paved path but there are inclines and stairs.

Katie Ahlberg — Google review

The cave tour was great. It is a very interesting place. Carter was a great tour guide even with our small & quiet group. He told jokes, he gave us lots of history & he was knowledgeable when people asked questions. The gift shop prices were reasonable as were the food prices. The chicken nuggets were weirdly good haha. It was a great visit!

Ashley C — Google review

The cavern tour was a lot of fun! Some unique formations and the tour guide we had nailed the right humor and knowledge mix. We also did the riverboat ride which was nice on the warm day we visited and our guide there was super nice and laid back. Highly recommend stopping by here and enjoying what they have on offer!

LOVELY EXPERIENCE. NEXT TIME...We MIGHT bring the Kids 🤷😁. Plenty to Explore. Food available. Cave Tours NOT Child Friendly, Minimal Handicap Accessibility. Staff VERY friendly. ESPECIALLY our "Gentle Giant" Tour Guide. His Mannerism and Enthusiasm for the Caves..... His Voice speaking IN the Cave... Makes the Experience That much more Worthwhile. THANKS 🤩. Hubby and I REALLY ENJOYED!!

A friend recommended this place and we’ve never done a cave tour so this was an awesome treat. It was cold so I’d recommend wearing pants and maybe a light jacket. You’ll see some really neat cave features and hear a lot about the history of the cave. Our guide was funny and very knowledgeable. Answered all of our questions and taught us a ton of stuff about caves. If we’re ever down that way we will check it out again.

The guided tour of Meramec caverns provided an educational and fun experience for my family. It's truly amazing to see the wonders that have formed over time and how the park has been able to preserve them from destruction. One of the gentlemen on the tour was able to explain how the features developed over time. The experience was a bit expensive. For the cost it would have been nice for the guide to be more personable and informative.

monica Grant — Google review

It was a good attraction and the tour ticket rate for adults is $27 and $12 for the kids from age 5-12. The tour was for around 40mins including a show at last. The guide explained about historic details well. The place is also so clean and well maintained inside. We have a cafe there for snacks at entrance/exit.

Lone Elk Park is a vast area with scenic driving routes that offer the opportunity to observe various wildlife, including elk, bison, and deer. The park also boasts of a bird sanctuary. Visitors can enjoy walking trails and have a picnic while communing with nature. There is an impressive lookout point at the start of the drive, which provides fantastic views. Entrance into the park requires only a donation, making it accessible to everyone who loves nature and outdoor activities.

Lone elk is very cool. Our family has been only 3 times now but it's been a few great experiences. You can walk trails get to see the bison, elk, deer and they even have a bird sanctuary. Although I haven't been to see the birds. There is a pretty cool lookout at the beginning of the drive. We went on a trail our last time there and got to see some bison up close. Not too close... just a great place to go and see nature and have a nice picnic.Oh we also found a dog statue I believe was a good cache. We wasn't doing the geo caches but we spotted the dog.. apologies for the camera focus.

Went for a fall foliage trip with family and friends. Very well maintained, accessible and great spots. We spent a lot of time in the bird sanctuary - and started the Lone Elk drive around 4.30pm.. unfortunately we dint sight much elks or bisons. (I guess that’s late for them - so plan accordingly)

Visited an amazing park where we saw elk, deer, geese, and even bison—all from the comfort of our car! It was an unforgettable wildlife viewing experience, and we didn't even have to step out of our vehicle. Nature's wonders at their finest!

What a great place to see elk and bison. You get in for just a donation. The bird sanctuary is really cool too.

Lone Elk Park is such a magical place. From the sun beaming down on the lake with the hills surrounding it as you are driving. The grasslands, the wooded areas and the beautiful animals roaming around. The bison, the elk, deer, birds and other local wild life just living their little lives. This is a perfect park to just have your windows down, no music and to just enjoy nature. I often like to sit down and watch what the animals are doing for hours on end watching them graze and live life just as we do. This is a perfect place to take your family and boy do the animals get close so be careful!

Al Morg — Google review

Lone Elk Park is a gem in the St. Louis area. This park is over 500 acres and is is filled with wildlife. You can see elk, deer, bison, wild turkeys and other birds. It is also free to enter. (There is a donation box if you wish to give to the park.)What makes it great is the options you have to see the wildlife. You can drive through the park or utilize the hiking trails. You can even fish there, but you need to make a reservation ahead of time. There are also shelters that you can reserve. If you drive, be sure to take your time. (There are also spots where you can pull over, get out of your vehicle and let others pass.) It can be hit or miss on what wildlife you see. They say morning - before 8:00 am - is the best time to see the animals, because they feed the animals first thing in the morning. However, on this trip, we went through around 11:00 am and saw elk, deer, bison and waterfowl. They were even close to the road and easy to view. (See pictures.)Tip: You don't need all day at the park. You can drive the park in a relatively short amount of time if you wish. (20-30 minutes.) It is also close to the interstate.Things to know:- No motorcycles- No pets, even if they are confined to the vehicle.- Review their website for additional informationSo, if you live in the area or are just passing through, be sure to make time to swing by Lone Elk Park. You won't be disappointed!

AMAZING!!!!!! FROM the hiking trail to the evening hours when all the deer, elk, bison were near the road...just a breathtaking experience!!! Park well kept, and marked, correctly at each point, absolutely worth the drive from any distance!!

Lone Elk Park is a beautiful place to hike or just drive your car through to see the Bison or the elk they have picnic table to eat or just to enjoy a beautiful day . If you like hiking it's worth doing the white Bison trail you will definitely see a elk hiking and can take a picture if you want to .the trail is a 5 or 6 miles but worth it or worth the drive depending where you live .you can see the bison on your way out normally they seem to like to sit down from the hiking trail .

My favourite place during fall!!!It it one of the most beautiful place in St louis if u wanna experience the beauties of nature and walk with elks.It would be a good idea to take some snacks and go around sunset. You can see the lake and the trees in the golden hour. We had a binoculars which was very handy.

Nikita Agrawal — Google review

Heard about this from one of my friends, I had no clue it existed so close to the city. Went here multiple times and it was nice to see the wild animals up close but somewhat safe in your car. Sometimes we did go a bit early, pay attention to the opening hours as we had to wait a bit. Overall amazing driving path and nice to see to get away from the busy city.

Josh Baltazar — Google review

The animals were abundant on this beautiful day in September. Some days I do not get to see this many. This is a great place for all ages. Lone Elk reminds me of my great grandmother and uncle who brought me along for the rides when I was young.

King Coopa — Google review

Absolutely beautiful place. Hidden gem in the St. Louis, MO trip. We had to kill a whole afternoon and evening before our flight out. This was a stress free ride through, seeing elks, bisons, friendly raccoons acting cute (don't fall for it) as you drive by. We took the loop twice. Nature's beauty at it's best.

Alwin Mathew — Google review

What a gem. If you are a nature or animal lover, this park is incredible. You can drive through the park and see elk and bison, possibly up close. When I was driving through the park there were about 10 elk swimming in the lake, a young bull elk stopping cars by walking in the middle of the road, a small pack of bison were in a pasture about 50 yards from the road, a mother raccoon was leading her 3 baby raccoons safely across the road and there were 3 massive bull elk relaxing along Elk Hollow Road.

John K — Google review

This was my first visit to the park, and I enjoyed it very much. The Elk were definitely out and literally right next to the car! Unfortunately, we didn't get to see any Bison, even though we drove thru the area at least five times trying to spot some. We saw a family of raccoons and a herd of Elk cooling off in the lake on the property.

Ree — Google review

The place is amazing…It’s very beautiful to see Bisons, elks and lots of deer roaming freely around. It’s free of charge and must say it’s one of the hidden gem near St. Louis. The overall vibe of the park is very good.

Bhavik Naik — Google review

Beautiful park with nice hiking trails. The park is well maintained and the animals are always fun to see! However, the visitors maybe need even larger “stay in your vehicle” or “do not approach animals” signs. (Sarcasm of course!)Every time we visit, some dumb dumb is within charging distance of the animals.. like these two ladies literally within 10ft of the bison today.. they may look docile but can kill you. Don’t be stupid.

The Magic House is a vast children's discovery and educational center located in St. Louis that offers interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, and events for kids and parents to explore together. The facility boasts multiple rooms and levels filled with exciting features such as a "town" area where kids can play grown-up roles. Additionally, visitors can enjoy an outdoor area depending on the season.

Had a lot if fun there with my 3yr old granddaughter. Lots to do to keep her going. Staff was on hand watching which was good since older kids were getting out of hand. We will b back soon! Had India theme to show kids different places around the world it was fun and educational.

Active duty military families get in FREE! We visited while PCSing and it was such a nice time for the kids to get out and run around. Our 2 year old loved it! And our 9 month old thought it was fine. So much to see and do and so much staff around cleaning and helping to keep an eye out.

Laura Humphrey — Google review

The entire children’s museum is exceptionally designed. The only issues I had in the early morning, was we weren’t allowed to wait in the lobby 10 min prior to the doors opening just above freezing. The monitor at the Italian exhibit hovered over my 2 yr old, saying he couldn’t pick up the rocks from the fountain when he walked by. She remained close and continued to give micro directives, even though my little is well mannered and calm. There was exposed steel threads at the veterinary wash station & I loved that they have a dedicated hotline to text if a customer finds an unsafe issue with an exhibit. We noticed that there are so many dedicated stations for all ages. The entire building caters to the whole family. We didn’t eat at the cafe, but prices seemed very reasonable and the attendants that worked there are the friendliest of all the staff. There are stroller parking spots and the hallways are very large as you navigate these connected buildings. It took us about 6 1/2 hours to make our way through the entire museum. It’s ADA compliant up until the toddler play area with high narrow passages in a treehouse-type of build.

Ashley Curry — Google review

Lots of fun things for the kiddos to do. Everything seems to be covered in the entry price which is really nice. There's so many different areas, so it could be a little tricky with littles, so be sure to take that into consideration. Otherwise, the kiddos will have a blast!!Some of the fun things we did were: big slide, playing in sand (only with hands, they can't get in it), static ball that makes their hair stand up, play in a NICU scene, play in a veterinary clinic, play in a restaurant, work on a car, fishing with a magnet on a pole, indoor playground, explored pulley systems, bubble room, and so much more!

Celsi Lyons — Google review

Such a Awesome time, every time! A wealth of adventure and discovery learning and play. Always new exhibits which is greatly appreciated by members. Always clean, staff always pleasant. Price is well worth it. Adequate parking.

An amazing children’s museum. Something for everyone. We were able to get through it in a few hours, but definitely could have spent a lot longer exploring. We did split up so we could follow the interests of the children, so if possible, go with multiple adults. I had fun, too, but I can be a big kid, so we had fun playing in the courtroom and Oval Office.

Jessica May — Google review

Beautiful place and must visit if you have young kids. Lots of things to learn and if the kids love it, a day is not enough.Visit early and allow the kids to explore all the activities. Observe what they enjoy the most.Watch their curiosity and capture the moments.

Children of all ages, even adults will enjoy this place. So many fun things to do. My daughter loved the children's village, so much, it took almost an hour to get her out of it. Plan on spending at least 2 hours to be able to see it all!

Courtney Branson — Google review

We went on New Year’s Eve so it was VERY crowded for the noon celebration. However, after the crowd cleared out it was big enough it there was plenty to do. The kids loved all of the different areas, especially spending time in the Italy exhibit. We have been to several children’s museums across the country and this is one of our favorites the kids often request to go to.Also, appreciate they offer reciprocal benefits for children’s museums so the entrance fee was 50%. They also have a generous military discount allowing for free entry.

Rebecca T — Google review

Pure chaos at times but so fun for parents and kids! So many rooms and levels to explore together and interactive elements throughout. My kids especially loved the "town" area and enjoyed playing "grown up". We brought out of town guests who loved it as well. Seasonally there is even an outdoor area to play. We at lunch on site and stayed most of the day. Pretty pricy if you don't live locally for a membership. Nice treat out for the family. I'd recommend!

Amanda — Google review

First time visitors with my twins and myself. They had a blast! We luckily arrived after 3pm and there is a deal for advanced tickets online for $3 per person and it was well worth it! There is so much for them to do and play with. The staff here is very friendly and there is something for everyone, including us adults! They have a cafe for quick meals and an outdoor play area. If you're needing something for the Littles to do and burn some energy this place is just for you! Definitely going to visit again!

This children's museum is one of the best in the country. The facility is immaculate thanks to a large cleanup staff. The three floors are filled with entertaining and interactive exhibits. There are a number of arts and crafts activities. There is even an outdoor area with a sandy play beach. The facility has both a cafeteria and a gift shop. It has sufficient parking. If you have a young one between 4-9 this is a must see!

Fred Pineau — Google review

Highly recommend! Especially for those up to age 8 or 9. So much variety of activities. They also have a quiet room that allows an area to take a calming break if needed or a private area for nursing. My grandson loved all of the activities. Great staff. We could have stayed all day. They have a cafe but there are also good food choices close, so you can take a break and come back.

Danita Day — Google review

This place had so many interactive areas for kids to explore and learn. If its your first time, suggest to your kids to tour the entire facility and then pick out a few of the most interesting activities to start with. Plan on spending at least 2-3 hours exploring. The place was packed when we arrived at about 11am, but it started to clear out some by 2 pm. The entrance was in an odd place. You had to go around the back of the building and walk and walk all the way to the front. We were in town for only a short time, but it was still a great experience for my grandkids, ages 8 and 6. I wish adult entry was half the price of the admission; the adults are just the supervisors of the kids.

Tammy Tanner — Google review

Fun time, lots of neat activities for kids all ages but especially the younger kiddos. Went for a Halloween Event which had more activities set up for kids and decorations everywhere. They really did a great job with decorations and keeping kids entertained. The building zone for kids was a huge hit for my toddler.

Daniel Hamilton — Google review

This place is a very cool place to visit with your child. It seems to be a little smaller than I remember or maybe there is construction going on but it seemed a little small. I would probably see if there’s a way to get a discount next time full price is probably not the best idea. Also seems like a lot of administrative offices nowadays I wish they would move those to a different building and just utilize this for children play only. All in all still an awesome place.

We love visiting here! This place is so good for families. Staff are very friendly and kind. They have rooms for breastfeeding/changing and to get overstimulated kids calmed. Very clean and the goats are so much fun. Definitely do the family passes if you have kids. I paid for mine online and very easy to redeem in the gift shop when you first get off the tram. Staff will take care of your stroller on the tram too.

BOTH the men’s and women’s bathrooms have baby changing tables!!!! So fun! The baby goats see that bottle and they will come after it so some kids there were very scared of this but my 2 year old loved it and my 9 month old wanted to touch everything! Buy your parking pass online bc it’s cheaper also we loved grabbing the fun pass on the website too. Also they do NOT take cash. It was a good half day outing.

Laura Humphrey — Google review

Great fun! Quite a bit to see and do. Watch out for the parakeet attraction! We choose not to do it, but watched others. Several came out bleeding as the little birds can be quite aggressive with their search for food! Our favorite was feeding the baby goats. So cute! All animals are clearly well cared for and in great health. Really appreciated seeing that.

This place is always fun to go to, it brings back many childhood memories of family trips with my grandparents to see the world famous Budweiser Clydesdales. There are lots of things to see and do here. And now I have the opportunity to create memories with my grandchildren.Pro tip, don't buy the milk for the goats since they are usually full if you aren't the first ones there.Buy the cones with the food instead.

If you're a family looking to do something near St. Louis on a budget, you should visit Grant's Farm! You pay for parking ($10-$15) and from there you can spend as much or little as you want. They have turned part of Ulysses S. Grant's old property into an animal refuge that you can visit for free. They have quite a variety of animals and some different packages that you can pay extra for some up close encounters. They have a great Beer Garden where you can grab a bite to eat and every adult over 21 can get two generous beer samples for FREE. It hit the spot on the hot day we enjoyed Grant's Farm. Check out the St. Louis Zoo for another free activity. Enjoy your time in the friendly city of St. Louis!

Free admission, 2 free beer per visit, only have to pay $19/ vehicle for parking. Wow what a deal. Staff were all friendly and energetic. It’s a good 2 hours spent in grant farm. Many things to learn. And kids get to see real animals. The farm was well maintained. All animals look happy and healthy. And those Clydes dales were Gorgeous and magnificent.

Wind Napol — Google review

The way this works is that parking costs money; but getting in is free. If you don't drive.. well... First you get on a guided tour on a small set of cars that takes about 15-20 minutes of much of the farm grounds that tells you about the place and how it got to where it is. At the end, you get off in the main attraction section where there are over a dozen separate animal places where you can seem them all, take in a show, do a camel ride or feed baby or adult farm animals. We did the animal behind the scenes and got to feed several animals, pet others, and get deeper info. They offer 2 free drinks and food for sale. The people working with the animals tend to be young people eager to share. Spent almost 2-1/2 hours here.

Dave Cameron — Google review

Had a really nice experience. The the grounds and facilities are very well kept. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Parking is $16 but admission to the park is free. Concessions are basic around the park but there are more options such BBQ at the garden. You also get 2 free beer samples. Lots of animals to see, an animal show, and tram ride through the whole of the property. Bottle feeding the baby goats is popular and my favorite too! There other animals you can feed as well, just need to purchase the feed for a small price. Good time for the family and all ages. I'll be visiting again soon!

Very cute and fun farm to visit! It’s really large and there are a lot of different animals. The history is also pretty interesting. It is free to enter but we had to pay $19 to park (Labor Day- don’t know if pricing was different for the holiday). The ride was comfortable and it was accommodating of strollers, wheelchairs, etc.The goat area is particularly fun, especially with children. You can feed the goats milk for like $2 if you choose. There are also other options to feed the older goats or ride camels. We spent about 1.5 to 2 hours there but probably could’ve spent about 2-3 hours there.Definitely would recommend as a fun activity in the St. Louis area! The staff are also very kind! It’s well maintained.I also appreciated the breastfeeding options for moms here - there are a few private rooms and areas for changing diapers.

Fun place to go. Bob and I enjoyed the BBQ and music 🎶 👌. Only 23 miles down 55.

Cheryl Mckinney — Google review

We went here last summer and had a great time. The value for the price was great. We especially enjoyed the goat feeding and the bird feeding. Obviously this is a great place to bring kids, but we had fun as childless adults. Other than a young lady (who seemed to dislike people) working at the goat food stand, all the staff were very nice. The staff was mostly a combination of young people and seniors, and it was nice seeing the different generations working so well together and seeming to have just as much fun being there as the guests. We're city dwellers, so we're not used to being on any sort of farm. But, from our limited understanding of such things, this seemed like a very clean place with well cared for animals. I'd definitely recommend coming here if you're visiting St Louis.

If you haven't been to Summer Nights at Grant's farm it is definitely worth the price of admission. If you're lucky enough to live within biking distance there is no charge to use the bike rack. Last night was epic. Great music, courtesy of Push the Limit, an awesome drone show, and of course, food, drinks, and a lively beer garden.

We had an absolute blast this afternoon at Grant’s Farm. Don’t be fooled, it isn’t ALL Clydesdales and beer…although the beautiful draft horses are a sight to behold and there is definitely plenty of beer :). The tram ride reveals so much more wildlife as well as the petting/feeding part of the property. The staff was wonderful! We spoke a great deal to Mr Walter over our beer samples and enjoyed his conversation very much! Our kids LOVED feeding the baby goats and petting all the other animals as they stood at the fence.

We had such a wonderful time last night. Final drone show of the year and the first I have seen. It was awesome. The service was great all around. The food was a good value for the money. The band was great. Great family event and evening.

I loved the carriage rides they offered this Christmas. There was also spiked hot chocolate and regular hot chocolate. I saw they also offered fire pits with s’mores, but those were all booked up. I’m looking forward another carriage ride in February for Valentines 💌.

The Gateway Arch is an iconic monument in St. Louis, Mo., commemorating the exploration and settlement of the American West. The arch was built in the early 60s and is a massive 630-foot-tall structure topped with a striking metal entrance facade. The top of the arch offers stunning views of both the city below and the surrounding countryside, making it an excellent tourist destination for those visiting St. Louis with children. The Drury Plaza Hotel St.

Super cool experience! The pods in the tram are tiny but we got to ride in one ourselves, so nice to not have to sit in one with strangers. The door is glass which is awesome as you can view what the inside of the Arch looks like on your ride up and down. 4 min up, 3 min down. Husband is claustrophobic but was OK on the ride! Time at the top is short but plenty of time to take pictures of just look and enjoy the view. Our group was only about 11 people total so not crowded at the windows at all. The museum is interesting with lots to read. Cafe was expensive but food was OK. Tour guide for the tram was upbeat and friendly. The Arch was definitely the highlight to our trip to St.Louis! And the small state park surrounding the structure was nice as well.

It's cool to see. I don't know that I'd need to do it more than once. Buy tickets in advance. You can also check the website around 900a and see if they are any available tickets. I checked and got a ticket for the same day. You have to go through security as it's a national landmark. They have a museum area after that and other setups to learn about the arch and its history, there is a gift shop and cafe inside. Line up at your time... there aren't many people lining up until about 4-5 min prior to the scheduled time. You stand in line for a while before you get to go back. There really isn't a benefit because you get assigned a group 1 through 9. You sit with your group in the pod up and down...maximum of 5 people

Emily Anderson — Google review

Great place to visit! Lines all ran smoothly and it was an orderly transition from the check-in to the top and back down. Some unique history all the way from out greeting to a little movie to the facts projected on the doors that let you on to the tram. 4 minutes up and 3 minutes down. Yes, the tram is small but you can see the inside of the arch via the window/doors on the side. They allot the group 9 minutes at the top which is more than enough time to get some great photos. I’d recommend the movie on the building of the arch as it helped to make sense out of the architecture and the construction. The museums in the area were also very informative. Highly recommended.

I have driven through St. Louis a few times but never actually visited until this weekend. What a great place! The Gateway Arch was great. The views are spectacular and really gives you great sight lines and visuals of the city and Mississippi River. The museum is also very nice, did not have food but the cafe looks nice. The staff was friendly and helpful and we had a great time.

Bryan Steward — Google review

I had never really wanted to visit the Arch but I thought I'd give it a go and I was pleasantly surprised. A beautiful museum to see before you have to purchase anything at all. Definitely go to the top of the arch. Amazing views. And if you get there at noon you can see the shadow perfect between the two legs of the Arch!!!

Oliver Smith — Google review

Wonderful experience! It was cool driving through town and seeing the arch get bigger and bigger as we got closer. Then to be standing under it was amazing. The view from the top and museum were fabulous. The tram ride was faster than expected. We’ll worth the time and Money!

Bonnie DeHart — Google review

We had the chance to visit a couple of times. It has an incredibly beautiful atmosphere. It looks so beautiful from the outside. It makes me happy every time I see it. The museum is incredibly beautiful. There is a very beautiful narration. Everything is simple and technological. The main problem here is going upstairs. It's incredibly claustrophobic. Unfortunately, you can't find a satisfying window when you go upstairs.

mehmet ali y?cel — Google review

Worth doing it to check the box, but not sure I’d feel the need to do it twice. The whole thing is about $15+ per person to take the tram (a claustrophobic Ferris wheel ride staring at concrete) up to a small room to look out tiny windows. I had more fun taking pictures for tourist families than I did staring out the tiny windows. Cool view, but a little anticlimactic for the price. The museum looked cool, but unfortunately we were in a bit of a rush and didn’t get to check it out.

Michael Magnus — Google review

I came to the Arch as a child and my son is now 10 years old so it was time to create the memories with him. He had learned about the Arch at school and now he's been able to witness it first hand. Overall it was a great experience. A little crowded and had to wait for a chance to get my son up in the windows to see the sights and get photos of him. A security lady asked us to leave as I was grabbing a couple photos we had waited on other people to move on, for my son's memory book. I explained to her we had to wait on all of the other people to be able to look out. Maybe she was having a bad day. Regardless the trip was nice and the other employees were all super nice and professional. The landscaping and surroundings were all beautiful.

Meredith Smith — Google review

It was such a cool experience to see in person. It's a lot bigger than I expected. We went there early in the morning, and there was no one around, so we got a lot of time for pictures and just enjoying the arch. By the time we did the sightseeing outside and went up into the arch, we were done by 1130 or so, and it got busy quickly. Would recommend if you are able and around the area.

Tara Miller — Google review

The Gateway Arch is an amazing work of engineering and design. The tour was good but the narrator spoke so fast I could only understand bits and pieces of the story. The ride to the top was awesome and the view was incredible. They really could use an updated version of the videos though. I felt like I was sitting in an elementary classroom watching an old documentary. Not a good feeling. The parking was much to far from the entrance and the signs were poorly placed. I have bad knees and back. I park with a handicap tag but could not find the parking for handicap. The parking cost was too expensive as well. If you fix a few things mentioned you could easily reach a five star rating. All that said, I do recommend this business. It is worth seeing.

Palomar 6592 — Google review

Should be on the to-do list for everybody visiting St Louis. The Arch itself is huge and you can go up all to the top. Tour guide Sandy was awesome and very funny. The museum is just as impressive as the Arch itself. The history and development of St Louis is clearly explained. Well done. Museum itself is very clean and modern.

Jochem van der Leur — Google review

Well done National Park Service! I bought tickets online about a month ahead of time. I was able to have the tickets on my phone. We arrived about 30 to 45 minutes ahead of our tour time to allow for the security check. At the appointed time we were directed through the tour. The tour guides were courteous and very helpful answering questions. The views from the top are spectacular and for me, well worth the price of admission. The ride up and down is a little bumpy and the pod is a little claustrophobic, but should be no problem for most people. There is a historical museum after entry and before or after the tour that is worth a walk through. There is a concession stand of sorts as well as a souvenir shop. Overall, a great experience!

Robert Ball Jr — Google review

Great experience. You go up a very small tram elevator and it's pretty cool. They have a small museum inside, obviously the gift shop, and a few places to eat inside. Would highly recommend if not afraid of heights and not afraid of being an enclosed spaces.

Ashley Davis-Reyes — Google review

We went on a Saturday and it was fairly busy. We did the tram ride to the top of the arch and it was under $20 a person. Our son was free since he's a wee tot. You enter at the bottom and go through a security check(similar to at an airport). Then you can walk around and learn all the history facts. There is a little cafe and gift shop in that area, as well. If you have a ticket for the tram, you continue on to the next area and guides put in groups. The rest is a quick history lesson then an even quicker ride to the top. You get around 10 minutes to look out of little windows at everything around you then you hop back in your tram and head down. It's a really quick experience but also a neat one. The trams are quite small and fit 5 people snugly(see video). If you're claustrophobic you might consider skipping the tram. If you park by the water, be prepared to climb several flights of stairs. We did it taking turns carrying our 40lb son and the thigh burn was real😅

Desiree Landry — Google review

This is one of my favorite place to visit. It always amazes me with its beautiful and unique architecture. We could go up the arch. Better if you buy tickets in advance online. You need to go through the security check. There could be line depending on the crowd and time of the day. However queue passes fast. There is a museum after you pass through security, which is beautiful. You could enter either of north or south entrance to take tram to top of arch. They also got a decent cafeteria inside if you are hungry. I recommend one should take this tour and go top of arch. It never fails to amaze you. I love going to St. Louis because of this Gateway arch.

The Horseshoe St. Louis hotel is perfect for those who want a comfortable and convenient place to stay while in the city. It has a huge pool and fun games area for kids as well as several restaurants that are kid-friendly.

Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking a resort. They compare thousands of hotel sites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of the most well known in the area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you definitely won't be let down. Wonderful experience! I stayed here in December, the resort was great! Very clean and all of the rooms were very bright. I loved all of the decorations, everything was so fun and laid back. I can't wait to take my husband back and stay again.Convenient location, easy to stop here after a ball game or another event downtown. They have Multiple Good restaurants and the hotel is very nice as well. If you play for awhile the pit bosses or whoever will take pretty good care of you if you allow them to. Good atmosphere, I’ve always had a lot of fun here winning or losing.

Check in time is 4 pm. We arrived about 4:50 pm. Room was not ready. We had dinner reservations at 6:30 at a nearby restaurant. We had to get ready in the hotel lobby bathroom. Beyond difficult. Staff at front desk, including manager, were very polite and trying to get us in our room. It took well over an hour but we finally got into our room. Room was nice and spacious. Beds were comfy. We were able to get a late checkout as well. Very accommodating staff. We will definitely be back.

Casie Geissler — Google review

Harrah really needs to look at this place. Everyone rude. No bell hop. I can understand about valet parking. No swimming pool. No place to eat other than Starbucks till 11. Then only one place. Nothing like they show on their web site. The only thing good about this place was the room. Also we were told. Just leave your door unlocked so the thieves want to break your window out . Will not be back to this location so disappointed.

Stacy Long — Google review

The casino it’s self isn’t a bad casino. Never really had an issues here other than some table games not being open but that seems to be an industry standard. They have been doing some remodeling so it’s nice to see updates coming.Hotel Lumiere is terrible and not even worth a free room if they offer it. Attached is also the Four Seasons which is an out of this world hotel and the best in St. Louis.Restaurant options are limited it seems.

Aaron Hardrick — Google review

Outside area is sketchy with homeless and young teenagers. Didn't feel very safe entering the area. But it is ST LOUIS, safe areas are hard to find.Casino was nice, clean. Food at the restaurant was very good. We went to the grill.Machines are so tight that it really made the experience awful. Will not be returning to this HORSESHOE. Just take my money at the door next time.

Sherry N — Google review

If you’re a beginner player, this is not a welcoming place. The servers and dealers are fine, but the clientele are rude and inconsiderate. The vibe here is not fun unless you’re a regular. I love blackjack and was trying a few hands at the $10 table, and the looks and comments I got for even sitting down is something I’ll never forget. Even went to try a few machines and I accidentally “took someone’s seat” that someone else was apparently saving for and got yelled at like I was supposed to know. Again, this is not a welcoming place.

RUN don't book here!!! One elevator out of four working. No pool or hot tub. Fitness center has three dumb bells in it. Everything is filthy and smells. You are charged a "resort" fee for no resort facilities. Room service doesn't arrive before 9am- to the hotel, not to your room! No food. Rude service. The front desk apologized for the "50 year old hotel" and were familiar with the complaints but couldn't do anything. Asked for coffee and front desk said I had to come to front to pick up because no workers before 9am. Casino dead. You cannot use a credit card without an ID at the Starbucks there or the pizza place. Ordered 3 pieces of pizza and while I was waiting, I said, can you please make it a whole pizza (since it was 3 bucks more) and the lady at register rudely said, "You already did the transaction" even though I was waiting for the pizza! Shady area, no good staff, rude workers, filthy rooms. Overpriced rip off. And the "owner" must have hired an agency to write fake reviews to boost business. Don't believe them. You will regret you ever stayed at this place. Our group was there for a convention and we refuse to book here next year. RUN Away from this miserable place!!!!

W Smith — Google review

Good and peaceful atmosphere, love to go sometimes just to escape the busy world lol. It is downtown where everything else is love the fact they offer a back room for security purposes if you hit a large sum.of money or even a couple thousand. It makes a lot difference being robbery is up like never before. Just request it.

Johnson Family — Google review

I noticed reviews mentioning a lack of cleanliness but this wasn't our experience at all. we had a corner suite which was perfectly clean and tidy upon check in. the only reason I gave 4 of 5 stars is the lack of room service but that figures; they want you to go over and spend money at the Casino and restaurants... which we did and had a great time

Chris M — Google review

The casino is really nice, just be prepared to walk if you are staying at the hotel to get to casino. There is no pool or hot tub anymore they have been closed sence covid and never reopened. The staff was nice and helpful at check in. The rooms are set up perfect, bathroom issues not very clean and very small, the bath tub was dirty. If you are coming to play great casino.

penny perez — Google review

I love this casino.... my favorite.... the staff is awesome and I can play on $20 for a very long time, unlike river city....Ben is the best... love that man... the gals in the pizza place awesome. Just a great friendly environment

Jennifer Green — Google review

Cons: This was the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in; even cheap motels were cleaner and better kept than this dump. The bathroom smelled of stale urine (like a dirty gas station truckstop) and had a long hair on the sink. The bathtub had a pink bacteria ring around the drain which indicates it hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time. The shower curtain lining was the most filthy one I've ever seen; pink bacteria and mildew spots all over the bottom half and the top half was ripped and raggedy. The room had an iron but it had stagnet water in it. The coffee maker was unlcean and also had stagnet water in the top of it.The lobby smelled weird and funky with air freshener attempting to mask it. The couch in the lobby was filthy and stained with visible dirt and cigarette burns. The plaster was coming off the walls and was all over the floor for the entire weekend. There was some kind of red beverage that had been spilled in lobby and was there for two days. They had two sets of double elevators, one of which was out of service so the working ones were always busy. The pool was not available either. The staff/management/owners clearly have low hygiene standards and do not take any pride in keeping their workplace clean nor do they care about the patrons who frequent their establishment.Pros: The rooms are very large and spacious and included an extra room with a table, two chairs, a couch and wetbar. When we complained about the smelly bathroom we were moved to a cleaner one. We had a partial view of the arch and a nice dog park. The hotel had a fun atmosphere and there was bridge that connected the hotel to the casino. There was one front desk staff member who was very nice and one of the maids said have a nice day when were checking out.

Anon Ymous — Google review

Convenient location, just a few short minutes' walk to the Metrolink. They have a very nice assortment of games and the entire casino seems to always be clean.Don't dare ask to speak to a host if you don't already have one, even on your birthday. Also, the machines to break bills and redeem the vouchers with your winnings on them don't work, more than half the time.Overall, this is definitely a place to have a good time.

Kirstie Danielle — Google review

Played craps for a few hours. The dealers were rude. Not really to me. But to many others. Nicholas was cool but that’s about it. It’s also the only casino I’ve ever been to that makes you pay for beers when playing table games. Insane. Lastly, the trash building up on the drink area beneath the craps didn’t get cleaned over the course of multiple hours. Many empty bottles, napkins, cigarette butts, etc. Actually one more thing: multiple areas in the casino smelled TERRIBLE! I can’t even describe it. I’ll mention the Grill was pretty good!

FreeUFCBetPicks — Google review

Resort fee? There is absolutely nothing “resort” about this place. Checking in was an absolute circus, severely understaffed and people waiting for extended periods of time. The hotel itself is old and in serious need of updates, I felt like I was in a hotel from the 80s. Great location though, guess it has that gone for them.

Brian Craft — Google review

This casino is pretty gross - looks really nice from pictures online and I didn't realize you can smoke in here. There isn't even a non smoking section so you can't escape it and obviously it's super dirty as a result. They had one bar and one women's bathroom open in the entire place on a weekend so waits were stupid long. I will still have nightmares about the carpeting which looks like it hasn't been cleaned in about a quarter century. There seems to be a lot of old men who sit in there just to harass women.

Bianca DeRango — Google review

My boyfriend and I visited the casino and left within an hour of arriving. The staff was nice; however, the ambiance did not meet our expectations. Nothing specific happened, but I’m sure other females can understand when I say the vibe was off. I felt uneasy as a woman walking through the casino, even while next to my boyfriend.

Sarah J — Google review

Pros: Great location, comfy beds, air conditioning works, sink and refrigerator and spacious.Cons: Stains on my pillow case, pillow and towels, shower a tad bit dirty. Their breakfast restaurant doesn’t open until 11am.Overall got the job done, we were visiting family with a newborn. I am unsure of the service because house keeping is per request and we didn’t need them.

Jodeci Gillmore — Google review

This casino is a dud for sure. I play multiple horseshoe casinos and this one is definitely the tightest one I've ever played. I usually have fun playing even if losing but I can't say that here. Good luck finding a ticket redeeming machine that actually works. Good Luck but play tight because the winnings are tighter....

Nicolas Ellis — Google review

Staff is rude on day shift and only reason why continue to visit is because I prefer the slots and games.otherwise I'd never visit if depended on the main staff for my return. Very snooty staff and vibe eard them once say " u cannot come in because you associate with those people down there" meaning homeless people, which I felt was beyond their business and if person is 21 yrs old and comes to gamble should be able to access casino and play no matter what their personal life and personal friendship s are.

Missy loo carter — Google review

Not sure of the rooms but if they are anything like the rest of the hotel then you'll have nothing to worry about. Excellent location. Wonderful to see the river from the steps of the casino. Service and people were wonderful.

Kathryn Medlin — Google review

I mean. Rooms were nice. They are big. You can’t get towels. Only 1/2 the elevators work. Place is kinda ran down. The casino sucks. Seems like it’s just a trap to take the poor locals money. Don’t waste your money. Go to Vegas.

Phil Harrell — Google review

Casino was filthy, cigarettes and ashes on the floor, broken machines, no wait staff offering drinks, no staff walking around to help with service issues, even when a machine quit in the middle of play and the call button was engaged, still no help. Service desk, once found, had very helpful staff to get me my card. The bartender was quick and honest when I accidentally gave him much more than the total was accidentally. Needs much improvement.

Heidi Bartels — Google review

Christmas Eve dinner reservations at Morton’s. Slow SLOW service. Couldn’t get a drink in a timely fashion “bartenders backed up” go look at bar bartender has 2 people. Wouldn’t complain but after 15 minutes you start to wonder how the rest of the night will go. Appetizer took an incredibly long time. Manager came over at his own will stated how it had taken too long and comped the appetizer. That was necessary and appreciated. Sucky part is the staff made it feel like they’d be fine without you when I thought you as the guest were meant to be served. Which you’re paying for.We had lost an item during our stay. Bracelet. Taken? Lost? Hard to tell as we were not able to contact someone to review the security tape to assist in locating the item. Multiple requests for assistance have been made.Cannot recommend. There are other casinos in the area. I suggest those.

Alyssa Gaterman — Google review

Basic maintenance is seemingly never done at this location. Elevators, cash machines, rewards kiosks that have been malfunctioning for months with no attention. Completely revamped their casino floor lounge only to tear it out and replace it with a new rewards desk a couple years later. The restaurants are nice although one in particular closed with no signs of anything coming to fill the space and they will likely never have a buffet again. There are better places to lose your money.

A terrific statue, sans glasses. Robert was a very noble and good human being who justly the honor done to him. Up he showed the world that just because something might appear wonderful it can also be a disability but yet through it all he came through with grace and courage.

Joe Kessler — Google review

Great for teaching kids! You can reach them about genetics and math (size and scale) and then go see his statue. Kids love to sit in his chair or stand next to him/ under his hand. Lovely tribute to Mr. Wadlow.

Meredith Renee — Google review

A real piece of history!! The world's tallest man! Stand next to him and see how you stack up to him. Put your shoe next to his and see the difference. Sit in his specially made chair. You will get lost in it! He is buried in a cemetary very close by. Don't miss stopping by.

Jay Biddle — Google review

This is a fun photo op to make when visiting Alton, Illinois! Robert only lived to be 22 because he got an infection in his feet which killed him. #bucketlistRobert Wadlow was the tallest man to have ever lived. He was born in Alton in 1918 and at the time of his death in 1940, Wadlow measured 8-feet, 11.1 inches tall. He is named in the Guinness World Records book.

Wow! You just don't realize how tall a 9 foot guy is until you stand next to one! This is a interesting and sad story as he only lived to 22 years old.Worth the stop if near the area.

James G — Google review

Such an interesting bit of history. It's very sobering to see in person how tall he really was and imagine how uncomfortable he must have been his entire life. Worth the visit.

Christy Johnson — Google review

This is a small tribute to the Gentle Giant. It is in a small grass area with brick walkway that is more of an in-memorium of the local celebrity than a it is a park. Nonetheless this is a worthwhile visit because you can stand next to a life sized sculpture and replica chair that he used.

Jeffrey — Google review

Very interesting!! It was cool to learn about someone so different who left a lasting impact on his community.

Greg Blackall — Google review

We were so excited to stop and see the statue of the tallest man in the world. It was raining so no one was there. If you are in the area, stop and check it out! Also research Robert Wadlow. Very interesting!!

From a one star review:“How much did it cost to build this? Millions of dollars. How many hungry people could that had fed? How many sick could that money have healed? How many poor could that have sheltered? Think about it Christians.”Christ actually specifically rebukes this thinking when he tells Judas who has asked him why Mary Magdalene was anointing his feet with perfume with her, asking “why doesn’t she sell it to five to the poor”, but Christ discerned his heart and knew that was not why he was suggesting it, much like that is not why you are suggesting that. It’s because you don’t love the cross. Christians have thought about it. We follow our Savior

E Gleaton — Google review

All the buttons around the cross were broken, so when I brought my friend there to run around and press all the buttons at the same time we weren't able to :( the cross is a fun like 5 minute visit for pictures, but also, the fact that we're in 2022 and there's a giant cross standing over an entire city is a littttttle sus if you ask me

Kylie Lewis — Google review

Nice private roadside stop. Free to visit. The cross has pathways around it with statues and the 10 commandments. The adjoining welcome center has restrooms and a private chapel, but not much mote than that.

Jay Biddle — Google review

First time there other than just a drive by. It's a shame they taken out the walk way of remembered ppl and the ppl that have donated.othwr wise a nice and peaceful place.building was closed at time I was there.

Frank Findlay — Google review

I did not plan on visiting the cross nor did I know it existed before driving through Effingham on my way to St Louis and honestly I think it's ridiculous is this what Christianity has become making a giant crosses. Is this really the best use of space and money i don't think so. I do not think that I will be coming back to see this and that's for some reason I'm driving through Effingham again.

Jack Cairborne — Google review

Very impressive cross. I was traveling back from Huston TX to Indiana and saw this cross. So we had to pull over and check it out.

We stopped they were closed. Could not get in to watch video they show to folks. We did however get to walk around and see things outside. Differently a great cross to see. If your in the area worth your time to stop. Figure of Jesus and two children is beautiful. Grounds well kept and plants are nice. Walks to get around. I'm hoping on my way east I can stop in.

Linda Beck — Google review

Beautiful day over here at The Cross, this cross you can see it from the highway and we stopped to see it, and when we saw it; it’s a beautiful and around it has the 10 commandments God gave to Moses, very beautiful and inside there is a 8 minutes video and also free coffee and restroom as well. It’s optional if you want to give a donation.

Carla Perdomo — Google review

Lovely experience. I’ve been past dozens of times but this trip it worked out to visit.

Susan Beldyga — Google review

Very cool place to go. I can't wait till they finish the rest of the area around the Cross. We weren't able to go into the shop that is there because it was closed. It was definitely a cool thing to see.

Michael Belford — Google review

It's beautiful to see , what the cross represents. To all the haters of the cross, Jesus hung on the cross that you might have life, His blood shed for your forgiveness that none of us deserved, when in your end, lying there waiting for someone to carry you away, think on what Jesus did for you, your sins can still be forgiven.

User User — Google review

Larger than the cross in Groom Texas that is 190 feet tall on Interstate 40, this is truly the Largest Cross at 195 feet. The land here isn't as flat as it is in Texas, so you don't have 20 miles of driving up to it to have some building Cross tension. This cross is at the intersection of the two major highways, Interstate 70 (between Indianapolis and Saint Louis) and Interstate 57 (between Champaign and Sikeston). It is only visible from the near vicinity and it is accessed through an industrial office park with good signage. At the base of the cross is a gravel parking lot that is big enough for the largest of vehicles. There are plaques for each of the Ten Commandments and a donation box next to the visitor's center.Interesting? Yes. Detour? Maybe not.

Bruce K. — Google review

There's a short walking trail with a few statues and small gardens around the 198 foor tall cross. The building closes at 4pm not 7 during the fall and winter. If you can go inside there's a short video you could watch about the construction of the cross.

I love this place for the most part. My only complaint is they don't have much choice for girls jeans. That was the reason I went to the outlet mall and this store specifically. They had one rack for girls and like 7 for boys.

In Casey, Illinois, visitors can marvel at the World's Largest Wind Chime, a towering structure assembled from five metal tubes with the longest chime measuring 42 feet long. The working chime encourages visitors to ring it and features religious symbols as a reminder of the importance of faith in daily life.

I love wind chimes, so this one was especially exciting to find, and it's interactive! Its set in a pretty garden area, outside a Cafe. You can go into the garden and pull the cord to make it chime. So fun! Another fun roadside attraction that we loved in this little town while passing through.

Lindsay Sondelski — Google review

This is a nice little town full of the largest things lol. We were on a 8 hour road trip and it was a nice place to stop and walk around town and grab a bite

Larry Veal — Google review

Yet another "big thing" in this crazy, sleepy, little town. We didn't here it making much noise, but then again, if it did start ringing in a gale it might be quite loud...

Ian Knights — Google review

I love this so much. I love wind chimes. This one is the World's largest wind Chime. Certified by the Guinness Book Of World Records. You can pull the rope to make it chime. Check out the pictures.

INDIANA JONES — Google review

Come to Casey and see the World's Largest Things. They're all over town and it's only a couple of miles off I-70 as you're passing between Terre Haute and Saint Louis. On the the big ones in the downtown core is this, the World's Largest Wind Chime. It is accessed through the patio area of what looks like a cute restaurant, Whitling Whimsy Cafe, which was closed on Sunday when I was here. In fact, most of the town was closed on Sunday. Still, the Things are accessible. The Wind Chime is certified by the Guinness Book of World Records and are 49 feet tall with the largest chime being 42 feet long. There is a center rope pull so that you can make the chimes sound if it's not a windy day. I like that this one is interactive.

Bruce K. — Google review

The town of Casey Illinois is probably the cutest town you can ever visit. Especially during the holidays. They go all out and hold true to traditions older than most peoples great grandparents. The coolest part of Casey is the fact that they hold the record for having the most largest items in one town. Some include largest lead pencil, largest knitting needle, ect. Give it a visit. It will not disappoint.

letroy higgins — Google review

What a great little surprise Casey Illinois. I had never been in the area. We were passing through and someone told us we needed to come here. We're glad we did. What a beautiful little town. We love exploring small American towns and sharing it on our YouTube channel (adventuresoversover50) we see so many little towns that are dying it was nice to see what one man's Vision could do for a tiny town. Small town pride is obvious here. Beautiful gardens and well manicured lawns.

TerryLynn Melody — Google review

What a cool attraction. It's totally free. The town is full of the 'World's Largest' items and this was the one I first heard about. It is attached to a cafe where you can buy a map of the attractions. The windchime is interactive so go ahead and give it a pull. It is great for the whole family and pet friendly.

Angela Julian — Google review

Usually they blow free in the wind, but this one is a little heavy and requires some visiting help! Walk on over and give it a tug!

Dede King — Google review

Awesome place, there's lots more large things to see around as well

Camo FPV Reviews — Google review

Hard to believe that something this large is truly a working object, but these wind chimes really work! They are a sight to be seen!

A Smith — Google review

Located in a very beautiful small town full of photo worthy oddities. Wind chime actually works, you can walk up and pull a cord to hear it in action. Right across the street from the world's largest rocking chair, so be sure to bring your camera! If you have time to stroll down the street there are lots unique attractions that are definitely worth seeing. Family friendly activities all along the street, so bring the kids!

Meadowbrook Park is a vast area encompassing a farm, multiple gardens, and various trails. It combines art and nature to create a beautiful experience with paved paths through the stunning prairie filled with wildflowers and berries. The park features large sculptures from different artists scattered throughout the space. There are also small sections of wetlands, streams, pavilions, porta potties, and even an extensive wooden playground for kids and adults alike.

Lots of cool art pieces along the walking paths, the paths are a decently long length around the perimeter of the park, and the playground is still a great area for the kids(and even the adults,!) to blow off some energy! Great place to take family or friends on a nice Spring day!

Julian Hoban — Google review

This is a great trail for walking, jogging, or biking. I walked the 1.55 mile trail almost every day I was visiting my family. Not too busy at 7 am. Saw deer almost every day.

Steve Aupperle — Google review

This park is amazing. There are several sculptures and aesthetic structures along the path. The walking path is also huge. I wish I knew here before. This place is a hidden gem.

Berkay Kaplan — Google review

Very good and well maintained playground for kids. The trails through the prairie are excellent. Nice sculptures along the way. Plenty of parking.

Rajat Prakash — Google review

Not only is the playground fun. It is also a great place to take a hike and look at artwork!

Crystal Williams — Google review

Probably my favorite place to go around here.. Love the sculptures and the paved trails.

S M — Google review

I recently visited my first "sculpture garden." There aren't too many benches, so if you plan to explore it, bring a water bottle along because we couldn't find any other water fountains nearby, except for the park further away. The garden is quite extensive with numerous paths to explore. If you enjoy art or architecture, it's definitely worth visiting due to the variety of sculptures and installations.

Angelena Shelton — Google review

It's an Art / Nature mashup. Beautiful paved trail through stunning prairie. In summertime the prairie is a rainbow of wildflowers and berries. Large sculptures from a variety of artist scattered all throughout. Such a nice place to walk and run. Also features small sections of wetlands, stream, several side trails, pavilion, porta potty (👍), and large wooden playground.

Andrea — Google review

Great park. Awesome sculptures and breathtaking prairie views. Highly recommend for all types of recreation.

One of the best walking paths in a park that the UIUC campus can offer. The wildflower walk is very good. During summer, there are lots of flowers blooming. It's definitely a worth exploring place around the campus.

Update: Getting frustrated with the small portion sizes for the amount. Got the Mediterranean flat bread and it was on a 6 in round pita for $6.50. I understand it's quality ingredients but it doesn't make me want to eat lunch here.Best cookies in town straight from the land of the world's best baking powder. Their lunch menu is very good, I love the pesto sandwich. Great atmosphere inside, vintage and historic but modern. Cool displays of coffee machines and old elevators inside. Their Bakery is my favorite part, everything is amazing. You have to try the cookies, and little cakes. The first Friday of every month, they have a Chef's Night. It's a pop-up kitchen that has different category of food each time. I look forward to this the first of every month.

Bo Turner — Google review

A gem of history and heritage, along with delicious food! I’ve had lunch at Clabber Girl many times, always a great experience. Recently I had the chance to try their breakfast and it was even better than I expected.I ordered a veggie omelet made with egg whites, and I had only just sat down with my coffee before my breakfast was on my table. The omelet was heaped with fresh spinach and tomatoes. The biscuit was so soft, buttery and warm, probably fresh from the oven. Every meal tastes authentically scratch-made, like it’s straight from grandma’s kitchen.Having all the black-and-white photos and historic artifacts in the dining rooms and the museum really completes the feeling that you’ve stepped back a century in time. Really well done!

Carla Knapp — Google review

Cool story and history of family and business. Museum was well done and a nice detour before or after a bite to eat. Had the Turkey Avacado sandwich and was fresh, nothing fancy, yet good...probably add some side chips to make the value better.

Beautiful historic bridge that you can walk across. Amazing that these were built so long ago and are still standing. I've heard that this is the one you must visit if you have to see any of them. You cannot drive across this bridge although some of the others you can.

Very relaxing and beautiful here. There is a mill next to the bridge that is still working and you can buy goods there. We visit often. The grounds is kept very nice. Walk across the bridge, sit and watch the water fall down and into creek. It's very peaceful.

This was awesome So many vendors lots of food trucks. Something for everyone. Carpark clean and orderly. Check out Karen's Marque near the carpark as you go in. Sorry only got one picture as we went in lol. So in awe of everything.

Favorite place to go to the covered Bridge Festival. Mostly flat areas, times to come are early around 8am and around 3pm to avoid massive crowds. If you bring baby strollers nice to have the ones with big tires as there are some places with larger rocks to push over. Parking prices are 5 dollars to 10 dollars. Lots to buy and see.

INDIANA JONES — Google review

This is the bridge to see if you can only see a few. It's along the black route. It's picturesque and quaint. The rapids beneath the bridge gave me a feeling how old this thing is. The bridge itself is well-maintained while still looking like a covered bridge and the mill across the stream is a stunning addition to photograph. And the landscaping around the bridge area gives it an old time feel.

Michael Sears — Google review

Visited for Covered Bridge Festival. This is my favorite area to go during the festival. All kinds of foods and crafts. It rained and their are many indoor shopping areas thankfully. The view of the bridge and the trickling water underneath is also beautiful. I had a delicious BBQ bowl and brought home some home decor and a couple beautiful turquoise rings.

Janna Jae Shaffer — Google review

Park

Park with pioneer-era sights offers canyon hiking & horse riding, creek boating, camping & more.

We went for a day tour and totally enjoyed it. The park is easily accessible and offers a lot of fun and activities. A lot of hiking trails and all offers lovely views. They have different levels of hiking trails, from easy to rough. The canyon trails take you inside the canyons and they are beautiful. Inside of the canyons are cool and offers great views. All the trails are properly marked and the map also well marked. Overall, for $7, it was a great dayout for us and would recommend it to all.

It was the first time visiting for my four year old daughter and I and I'll tell you what she was in awe as much as I.We didn't cover the whole property but in six hours we seen so much beautiful landscape and exotic sandstone carving. They have a public swimming pool also so after all the hiking and splashing around its a perfect place to end the day.We drove 3 hours total there and back and I would do it again in a heart beat.

Cody Smith — Google review

I absolutely LOVE how Indiana parks organize their maps & trails. They’re numbered & marked level of difficulty. They also maintain their trails better than where I’m from. (Illinois) Lots of different things to see at this park from giant boulders moved by glaciers to beautiful waterfalls, interesting ways to get around like ladders & really old stone stairs built into the side of the hills, great views, cool bridges, canyons they have it all! The lodge is just alright but worth it if you want to stay IN the park. I might try camping next time. Super cool & worth a visit for sure. Nice to have at least one full day to hike but I still have so much to see yet! Been twice & still plan on checking it out again.

Jess Lemrise — Google review

Great time for sure. We just stayed one night at the campground but did a lot. We rode bikes around the campground and then down to the state park. We had to ride along the highway about one mile to get to the state park but it wasn't too bad with traffic when we went. We saw the horse stable and had to go for a ride. It was a nice ride through the woods. After that we started biking again and saw the snake out on the road from the house stable.

Rich D — Google review

The hiking is absolutely beautiful! Most of the trails are nicely shaded. There are quite a few rugged hikes, for those who are adventurous. If it's a hot day, I highly recommend doing a floating trip or kayaking with Sugar Valley Canoe Trips. We also took advantage of the Olympic size pool. There were a lot of families with their dogs at the campgrounds. There was also a playground for the kids. The bathrooms were very clean and the showers were nice as well.

Nikole Cunningham — Google review

Turkey Run was absolutely gorgeous. We went early in the morning on a Friday and nearly had the park to ourselves. The kids did a great job hiking and were absolutely awestruck. Great day trip location. We had a cabin booked but a storm knocked out the power and we had to cancel our reservation. Will visit again.

Sierah Barnhart — Google review

We loved the park. We hiked down #6 and just got lost in the trail system from there. The suspension bridge is pretty impressive. We made a reservation for lunch early in the day, and I am so glad we did. After that hike, I was happy to sit down to a warm meal. They had some pretty good fried chicken and these little key lime pie cups that were delicious.

Nickey — Google review

My parents haven't been here since 1986 and felt it was time to go back. Very nice park. Gets real dark at night, so make sure to bring a form of light with you. Rockville is about 15 to 20 minutes from the park if you decide to hit the town or need supplies. Wildlife can be seen and heard in the campgrounds, so bring you food in after you are done or a raccoon will eat it.

The Dragonlord — Google review

The best park in Indiana, my eyes for this beautiful gem of a forest in Marshall. I love the trails, the geysers, the rugged landscape and the tough and not so tough hikes. I have enjoyed the scenic beauty of each of natures creation and so enjoy hiking endlessly for hours mesmerized by Turkey run’s beauty. Ample parking, kids area, camping spots, an inn for campers and sufficient provisions for campers as well as hikers. There’s a $7 fee at the entrance and allows access to the entire park. You are given a good map and pamphlet which includes all details to the park. Lovely tourist spot!

G Fatima — Google review

We stayed overnight on a weekday, and it was not busy. The cabin was cozy and near the main lodge. The restaurant and pool were very nice. The trails are well maintained. There are a variety of trails offered from easy, moderate, and experienced. The creek was very low and easy to walk across. Trail 3 is the one to go on!

Joseph Vorrier — Google review

Always the best hiking for us! We stayed at a pet friendly cabin at the Turkey Rum Inn. It’s a fun place to go! The cabin is pretty small but great for sleeping. Heated swimming pool and Inn restaurant were nice! Lots of trails to accommodate anyone!

Cathy Caroselli — Google review

I first came here over 40 years ago and couldn't wait to go back. I finally made the trek and brought my two children. It was magical to watch them bond on the trails and help each other as they explored the natural beauty of this park. Trail 3 was their absolute favorite! They enjoyed hiking through streams, mud, ladders, and were glad that they dressed accordingly. They want to come back and would not making the nearly 4-hour drive to do so.CAUTION: Some of the trails are not for those with questionable health or limited mobility. There are LOTS of stairs, ladders, tight spaces, water obstacles, etc. to make it potentially difficult to say the least. Do not hesitate to speak with park staff about any concerns and take their advice. They are here to help you.

Phillip Vermillion — Google review

Is a beautiful place to hike! And the such a gem to find in the middle of Indiana! Couldn’t get to every trail the other day, but hit a majority of the middle sections. Make sure to grab a map if you aren’t from the area! I think the ladders section was probably our favorite area.

Kam — Google review

Turkey run state park is just breath taking! We arrived late on a Friday evening with our camper. Woke up Saturday morning to an absolute beautiful day. Hit the trails (trail 3 was one of our favorites) all day and came back to the campground at the state park and had a great cookout. The campground is clean (if you're pulling a camper be aware some lots are not the most level). All in all this trip gets 👍👍

Jesse Monday — Google review

This was our second visit to Turkey Run. We hiked trail 3 which is one of the more rugged trails. We had to go through streams, small gorges, and up and down tall ladders. A thunderstorm passed through in the middle of our hike but the rain was refreshing. Lots of mud when it's been raining so prepare for that! The temperature was around 95 degrees that day but it is so much cooler through the trails. Such a beautiful place!!

Amanda McFarland — Google review

Very beautiful state park. Well maintained. Very nice inn on property. Great hiking trails with awesome scenery. When we were there in early September the crowds unbelievable. Hundreds of people everywhere. I would recommend going on a weekday instead of a weekend.

Keith Palazzo — Google review

Great views, we lucked into the perfect weather. Nice ravines to traverse through. With a suspension bridge over the river. Some of the trail is under reconstruction making the route a bit difficult.

Kelly Schwedland — Google review

Beautiful state park! Went during labour day weekend and it was pretty crowded but we still had fun. We parked by the nature center and crossed over the suspension bridge which was so fun for the kids. There are parts of the hike that are on the adventurous side. Also, it’s a muddy trail so plan accordingly. Trails are mostly shady. Highly recommended.

My wife and I booked a room for the weekend at the Inn. A wonderful experience! We were greeted by a very gracious young woman behind the reception desk, her name was Rain. We booked ahead by one year which is suggested if you’re stay is on a weekend, and scored a redecorated room. The trails are absolutely awesome. Some of the most beautiful scenery, with views of sandstone clifs with trees growing right out of the moss. Highly recommend you wear appropriate shoes. Leave those white gym shoes at home, waterproof is best. And if the trail rugged expect to be crossing streams. Its hard to find anyone not having a great day here. And again the staff is tremendously welcoming and gracious. We have never camped here but there are spots for tents and even some for motor homes.

Jose Leon — Google review

One of Indiana best state parks. Great hiking trails, a nature center with good programming, a beautiful inn, and camping available. One of our favorite summer activities is tubing Sugar Creek through Turkey Run. Visited recently for spring woodland flowers.

Trisha Shrader — Google review

Live in Illinois and love Starve Rock. Turkey Run State Park was excellent. Love the options for giving. Excellant well groomed trails. 1000' elevation change makes hiking a real workout. Will be returning.

Mark Gianino — Google review

This is by far my favorite State Park in Indiana. We stayed at the INN and had multiple days to explore all the trials. The trails are very interactive. Climbing ladders, getting a little wet, and hiking up little waterfalls might happen. Most trials have stairs. Lots and lots of stairs.

Patrick Siney — Google review

Turkey Run State Park was an incredible experience!! We visited during the fall so all the leaves were changing and the views were beautiful. We hiked trail #3 which included the suspension bridge, climbing ladders, walking on ledges, Rocky Hollow, and the punch bowl. We were surrounded by such cool nature the entire time. So many mushrooms! 10/10!

Laura E — Google review

What a beautiful and magnificent place! We went there today. The weather was so good. Omg, this State Park is so beautiful. There are lots of fall colors visible there right now. We really enjoyed hiking there. This is the best hiking trail zone we have experienced so far. I would recommend exploring trail 3. The whole trail 3 hiking is a special experience. Notable things to visit Rocky Hollow, Punch Bowl, Falls Canyon, etc. Most of the trails are so good and these will be unique experiences from one another. A beautiful place. If you ever get the chance to visit Indiana, this place is a must visit.

Site offers hiking & horseback-riding trails, river fishing, indoor recreational center & campsites.

I typically enjoy this park in the summer but this winter hike did not disappoint either. Be sure to check out Wolf Cave, the main falls (off trail 3 that begins at the Inn) and all the cool CCC structures from the 1930’s. In the summer time, you can navigate many of the canyon streams too.

This was one of the better parks I have been to. The scenery is beautiful. Nice hiking trails that were definitely a challenge for a semi-accomplished hiker. There were lots of photo opportunities. I was leery of the pack in pack out of trash because many places I’ve been have trash receptacles throughout and still people throw their trash on the ground. I must say their way seems to work as I saw little trash along the trails or on the ground. Quite impressed with how little trash their was.The rustic campgrounds were nice. I seemed a little unlucky in the neighbor department but all in all they were nice. The vault toilets there were actually some of the nicer ones that I’ve used. The only downside to camping in the primitive campgrounds were the lack of showers. I did find the centennial shelter had a real bathroom so it was worth a stop in for hand washing. Also lightning bugs galore.

Great park! We stayed at the group campsite and it was fabulous. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, campfire ring has picnic tables and could accommodate us all, the amphitheater was so fun!

Beautiful grounds, alot of trails for all levels of hikers. There are stables for horse back rides. Just alot to do to fill your entire time. Wolf Cave was narrow and impassable due to raining the previous day, but we still attempted, and had great time and lots of laughs. Great place!

McCormick's Creek is a gorgeous park! There are many trails, so which lead to waterfalls and caves! They also have a nature center that is very informative about how the park came to be. There are a few live animals inside the nature center and a place to sit and relax while watching birds, squirrels etc. I highly recommend visiting this Indiana state park!FYI: The room we stayed in didn’t have a fridge.

My top three worst trail to complete. The creek view is fine and waterfall is there. But trails are almost all closed and tree falls everywhere. You will find best friends today are those flying bugs in front of your eyes and ears. The amount of apider webs are the next levels. Trails # 7/10/3/5 are not recommended.

Nice trails, well maintained, wolf cave was really cool, and you're able to walk through the cave. Stayed in the cabins, they were clean and fairly comfortable!

Brittany Clay — Google review

It was very pretty especially the time of year we visited. The wolf cave was pretty neat to see and go through. The trails are not marked super well on some of the trails though and it’s not really rugged. It’s a very easy laid back state park but still very pretty and 15 minutes from cataract falls. So not a bad place to stay at all! But if your looking for exciting trails this is more of a milder park.

Fab Sunset cabin. We were a party of 7. Nothing like it in other St. Parks with rental cabins. McC has 2 cabins sleeping 8. Lots of rules and move in not until 4pm and ck out inspection at 10:30. Really need 3 nights for a 2 day experience. Our 3 boys loved it. Top of the line kitchen. FYI...No garbage disposal. Dishwasher after every meal ....no dish drainer and very little counter space. All that said, we would go back for 3 days!!!! Lovely experience w/o a TV!! Lots of board games available.

Very relaxing and easy trail. People can walk up to the very bottom of the fall in summer. The water depth is not too much. There are campgrounds nearby and nice weather round because of the tree shades. Great place to spend an evening if you are nature lover.

Ovilash Khan_12 — Google review

A beautiful park with fantastic trails and scenery. They've done a great job cleaning up after the tornado in the time they've had to do it. The inn is open and several trails open or partially open, though the campgrounds and many trails are still closed. Regardless, it was well worth the day trip and we will continue to return and support their efforts to rebuild.

We slid in here after the eclipse, as we were returning from a hike near Bloomington, and hit a couple of trails. Despite what sounded like a murder of crows plotting an ambush on trail 4, we managed to make it out safely. Was tempted to ask the gentleman at the gate for the key to the fire tower (probably locked due to the crowd for the aforementioned eclipse) but I did not, as my wife thought better of it for me. Also I don't care for rejection, which my request was sure to end in. But I digress. The staff were incredibly pleasant, but not in a "the boss is watching" kind of way. Just really polite, and helpful. Suffice it to say I highly recommend stopping in. Make a weekend of it.

Had lunch at the Inn with a lovely view, lots of birds at the feeders. Went to the falls and stone arch bridge.

We visited the stables owned by Rich, and what an awesome experience. Only a few of us have ever rode. The trails, horses, and our trail lead Pearl we amazing! $25 a person for a 45 min trail ride! So see them!

Had a great time staying at the Inn and thoroughly enjoyed the guided hike with Ranger Kyle to the fire tower.

Absolutely incredible facility. This place has generational character, and a story that warms the heart. As a place of joy zipping from tree to tree while observing the scenery from within the depths of the wilderness, this family owned business has a knowledgeable and friendly stuff. We never felt rushed and always felt safe and comfortable while on the lines. This was my first time ever, and I was able to overcome my fears. When you first arrive you'll head in and get all the payment and waivers sorted out, you'll then proceed to get geared up, and then get some instruction on the gear, before you head to the first meeting area to gather the group and go over the instructions for zipping.Dylan and Krista were our guides, and took us through a wonderful experience and confidently had us and the group laughing and having fun while sharing stories and getting to know one another. They had mentioned that larger groups can get congested but ultimately encourage everyone to take it all in every chance you get.TYSM to the entire staff and family here at Indiana ZipLine Tours. We look forward to coming back with the rest of our family.

We had a blast! Our guides were spectacular, Bill and his wife, whose name I cant remember. They were amazing with my 4 year old son, who had a blast!! This was his first time to zipline. They were so kind and did all they could to make this a wonderful experience! We would love the opportunity to come back!!

Me and my friend had blast but you gotta have a good crowd! Our tour guide Kaden made the trip fun for us!!

Maureen Ison — Google review

We arrived 4 hours before our appointment due to travel time, and they allowed us to go as soon as we got there. We went as family of 4, ranging from ages 7 yrs-40+. The first run was scary, because you don't know what to expect. My middle child was hesitant, but after a few minutes went for it! He had a great time!! After the fear of the first line, it's fun, exciting, and almost therapeutic. We had a great time and could have done gone on several more runs. Our guides were Krista and Caden. They are very knowledgeable, kind, funny, encouraging, and comfortable. It's a very clean, organized, and professional set up. I HIGHLY recommend this amazing place!

Joy Scott — Google review

An all around excellent experience. The guides and staff are great. 5 and 9 year olds both had a blast. There are 8 total lines in the course with the 3rd and 8th being the longest and fastest. It uses the contours of the land so there are few stairs.

Awesome. Beautiful Campus- I mean that. It's definitely worth a trip down in the fall to walk around the campus. There are some really beautiful old buildings in the old campus center behind the Indiana Memorial Union Hotel...

Mike Schwaller — Google review

Fantastic venue with excellent staff! They only lost a star because it was so hot in the auditorium and communication wasn't adequate when an actor had to be replaced. No one quite knew what was happening and they brought the lights full up so audience members left for intermission when it was supposed to be a quick turn over. Just a bit confusing, which is understandable. They really needed to adjust the temperature though considering the house was full.

Victoria Covarrubias — Google review

They allow dangerous students that threaten non-white students with no repercussions. They have a history or this and it's only a matter of time before someone brings a weapon and the threats become real. Sad to know you can't attend a university to learn without the threat of death or harm from students. They simply ignore the warnings.

I was considering going to this school once I got my associates degree at Ivy Tech but Hailey Toch has made me reconsider. The fact you've done NOTHING to correct your aggressive racist student is very telling about you truly feel about racism. I hope none of my relatives who are people of color choose your school in the coming the future because I'd fear for their safety. I'll be sure to warn them and everyone away from your school out of concern for their safety. Both you and Hailey Toch are a disgrace to Indiana and America.

Love the campus! So much history and beauty. So many students are willing to help for anything you need. Everyone seems so nice, even the squirrels.Food on campus is good too.Would recommend a walk around the campus.

KellyT's Southern Indiana Life — Google review

Such an amazing school with a relatively large beautiful campus! Indiana university and especially Kelly school of business is ranked number 1 in the entrepreneurial field of studies. Indiana offers hundreds of academic programs across multiple campuses and online.

Fadi Dawani — Google review

Racism and bigotry have no place in any University. Hailey Toch, a student at UI, published an unfortunate TikTok bragging about discrimination against racial minorities and her American Muslim neighbor (a fellow student who was only trying to help her with kindness). In the video, she threatens the use of bear spray as a weapon against this kind soul. She said that if she knew he was Palestinian, she would have kicked him out of her apartment and never even opened the door to him (even though they live side-by-side like neighbors in the same dorm). My impression of your student body has lowered.

Abdullah Theeb — Google review

The lack of condemnation for the racist behavior of Hailey Toch (related to Grant Toch of the Educational Board in Great Neck) tells you all you need to know about this school.Hailey threatened to pepper spray her neighbor over his ethnicity and IU has done nothing to condemn her actions.

Mason Sullins — Google review

Wonderful university to attend. I love Indiana University. My only regret was not going there all 4 years in college (transferred there). This is easily one of the most, if not the most, beautiful campuses out there. Staff and students are all friendly and the Big Ten culture is great! GO IU! Go HOOSIERS!

Thadeus Staples — Google review

Beautiful campus with amazing architecture. The football stadium is huge but has great views from any seat in the house. Would recommend coming to the campus even if it's just to take a walk. Lots of activities to go to and interesting places to see.

Oliver Winery offers a charming garden setting with a shop that sells food and wine, as well as picnic packages. The winery is known for its sweet wine which is often compared to adult grape juice without the headache. Visitors can take part in events such as the Halloween Candy and Wine Pairing with an informative and fun host, while enjoying stunning views of the pond area. The atmosphere is described as casual yet formal, making it an enjoyable experience for all attendees.

Oliver Winery was a great experience. They were offering a wine flight. We decided to reserve a spot because we wanted to do a wine tasting. They were offering this so it is easy to social distance. We loved Oliver. It was such a beautiful setting. The fall foliage around the pond they have was spectacular. There were little paths to walk in and picnic tables. It was so lovely and relaxing. We took the wine flight and really enjoyed our wine tasting. I love how they tell you about the different wines you are tasting. They really got us to slow down and enjoy everything. My fiancé and I loved the sweet and dry wine tasting. After our wine tasting we reserved a picnic. They set it up on an outdoor patio for us overlooking the fall foliage and pond. There was so much food on our tray and we sat and enjoyed a couple glasses of wine. I learned that Brie is my favorite cheese!!Everything was clean, organized and the price was fair. We loved our trip to Oliver and plan on coming back very soon. We bought a couple bottles of wine and a cute little wine stopper. All of the employees are helpful and friendly.

Alyssa Barnes — Google review

What a wonderful experience! We spent almost 6 hours on the premise, tasting everything they had to offer, walking the grounds and enjoying a perfect day.The wine tasting session was informative and tasty, with a large selection of wines to taste. My husband and I also opted to take the picnic basket that was rich and delicious, along with 2 flights of wine and a bottle of white - very much recommended! The staff was knowledgeable and oh so welcoming - we will definitely come back!

Hagit Alon — Google review

Oliver Winery is a wonderful place to visit! We had a seated wine tasting and our host was funny, personable, knowledgeable, and fun! I think his name is Chris and he made our time extra special and fun. The whole staff was fantastic! I hope to go back and get a tour. It’s a beautiful place and we had fun taking pictures and shopping around. We all left with some wine and goodies!

Ally Bright — Google review

Excellent wine but we actually would have paid more than what we would have paid for their wine in our grocery store. I wasn't overly impressed with the service. However this place is beautiful. Well put together and their presentation is excellent. The grounds are also amazing

Wonderful winery. My favorite winery I’ve been to by a long way! Great for a date. Snack food are good. I’m not a wine person so I stick to the fruity sweet stuff. They do it well. The patio is great to hang out on.

I have been here years ago but decided on a random Wednesday to check Oliver out again. It was a beautiful day. Staff greeted us genuinely and were very informative with all of our questions. We expiernced a tasting and ended up with 6 bottles ( cough cough guilty pleasure) . The grounds were as beautiful as I remember them. We were told that they had 2 full-time gardners and limited part-time staff to maintain all of the greenery. Very impressive .Suggestions- Definitely join their wine club its free. Perks of free tasting from time to time. Very group friendly. Also, you can bring in picnics. Only alcohol has to be purchased from Oliver. So, there is no outside alcohol on the premises. It's completely understandable. They are also animal friendly on outside grounds, only of course. There are plenty of paths in shade around a nice pond.Take advantage of this hidden gem and enjoy their chillers. We were very impressed 🥰

Johanna Daman — Google review

Went here this past weekend with my family. It's very beautiful and has a nice little lake and picnic area, which mind you is on a hill, but lots of trees for shade. We had the wine tour scheduled, but in retrospect, it would have been easier/more enjoyable to do without my toddler since he is at that independent age and had a lot of energy to get out. It's nice that they like to be family friendly and allow children on the tour and to the winery, but I would only advise touring with small babies who would be quiet and immobile or children who are old enough to be patient enough to get through the tour. The wine tasting part at the end was nice, which is in a little building where my toddler was able to sit at a table and be entertained. He did enjoy the lake area. We enjoyed the selection of wine and their cool shop. The people were all friendly and understanding of us having our toddler with us. Wouldn't mind going back one day - but probably without him or until he was older!

Hope Goins — Google review

We had a great experience at this winery. They offer many tastings depending on what type of wine you prefer. Since my wife prefers the sweeter wines, we chose the preselected list and it was delightful. They have an excellent outdoor area with plenty of seating. No issues to note and we shall return if we're in the area. I believe you can also bring your own food, which is nice.

Jonathon N. — Google review

Fantastic!! Their wine is amazing, and the space is beautiful and well thought out. Will was a great, fun, easy-going wine tasting tour guide. If we lived in town, definitely would've signed up for the wine club benefits!

Long time Oliver wine drinker…But first time drinking at the winery.Oliver sweet wine is MY FAVORITE. It’s like drinking down adult fancy grape juice. And never gives me a headache….Anyways about the winery….Did the Halloween Candy and Wine Pairing.Weather was wonderful, plus we had a great view of the pond area. The host was informative and fun. I had gone in thinking it was a “go at your leisure” type thing but it was more formal than that but still very casual. The pairings were good. I can’t wait to attend another event here.

This is such a beautiful winery! It was nice to roam the property and enjoy nature. The service was amazing. We booked a private tasting with snack boards. We loved learning about the wines and the history of the winery. The labels with songbirds are beautiful. My favorite wine was the lemon! 🍋 🍷

R Davis — Google review

Guided tasting experience was excellent! Staff is friendly and approachable, wine and tasting plates were home runs, grounds were quite nice as well.Verdict - would go back and recommend to friends!

WOW! My husband and I visited Oliver Winery for the first time on our one year anniversary. We didn’t have many expectations but we were so impressed. This place runs like a well tuned machine. All the staff were so friendly and helpful in our wine selections. There is a huge patio both covered and uncovered that you can sit at for wine tasting. It’s surrounded by beautiful kept up gardens. The atmosphere is so refreshing. I’ll echo what other reviewers say in that if you like sweeter wine, this place is great. No, it doesn’t tatse just like juice, it’s definitely still alcoholic but it goes down SO smooth and easy. Plus, I didn’t feel judged and overly pressured to try drier wines or things I might not like. Their sweet reds and more fruity flavors were truly the best I’ve ever had. My husband would agree too! They offer discounts on cases of wine when you buy at least 6. There’s also a wheelchair accessible access where you can still see and walk around some of the gardens! I already can’t wait to come back.

What a cool place. We typically do not drink wine but after we planned a tour and picnic for our anniversary, we will be forever Oliver winers🤣 The tour was really neat and we loved every wine we tried, so smooth. Large variety of sweet wines as well. The grounds are fantastic and beautifully landscaped. Great place to spend a peaceful day enjoying one another.

Brown County State Park, a stunning park with undulating hills, provides visitors with numerous activities such as hiking and biking on various trails, guided horseback riding, fishing opportunities and a water park. The historic lodge offers rustic accommodation and an array of sitting areas to relax in or play at the arcade. The well-maintained campsite is ideal for camping enthusiasts. Expectant mothers should be aware that trail horse riding may not be permitted.

Beautiful park with rolling hills and lots of activities. We hiked trails 1, 2, and 3 and enjoyed the scenery. The lodge is rustic and historic. We LOVED relaxing in the many sitting areas and porches, playing at the Arcade, savoring the delicious food, and of course playing at the waterpark.

Brown County is so beautiful and seems to never end when you stop at a lookout. I spent a couple of days there camping by myself for the first time and had a great experience. Maybe it's the atmosphere or the just the nature of the job but the staff are super friendly and seem to love being there and are very helpful. I'm definitely going to be returning soon!

First I'd like to share this is not free, you do have to pay for parking which for us was 9$ which okay fair, just didn't realize there was a charge. Other than that, what a marvelous place! SOOO many trails to choose from, some longer than other, some rougher than others, and some more mushrooms then others. Ha! Overall, if we are ever back in this area, we'd love to try more of the trails. Thank you!!

This is a wonderful absolutely beautiful state park. Make sure and visit during fall time if you can, the views are stunning and the leaves are so colorful & bright. We love hiking the trails, checking out the fire watch towers, exploring around the lakes. Great campgrounds. Bathrooms are always nice and clean. The nature center is nice & the attached bathrooms that are open even when the center is closed is nice, always clean & you can refill your water bottles here. Dog friendly, we've brought along our 3 dogs to walk the trails lots of times. Nice pool during the summer. Horseback riding. The playgrounds are great too and my kiddos love them. This park is definitely a must visit. So beautiful & peaceful! An outdoor lovers DREAM!

We drove to Nashville, IN from Cincinnati with ease and hiked this state park with our dog for the better part of the day. We did the Discovery Trail, Friendship Trail, Trail 3 behind Abe Martin Lodge, and visited the Fire Tower, North Lookout Tower, and West Lookout Tower. The North and West Lookout Towers were the highlights of the man-made features of the parks. They provided decent views of the areas and were well maintained. The Fire Tower, built in the 1930s, was not worth the climb. The whole thing shook slightly as I ascended with others coming down, and the view from the top was not worth the climb it took to get up there. When it was built almost 100 years ago, I imagine the trees were shorter and provided a better draw distance on the land. Still, it’s a neat tower worth photographing. The trails we visited were nice. Nothing substantially better than anywhere else we’ve hiked, but well maintained and relatively easy. Our dog had a great time sniffing the path as we looped around Trail 3 and the others. We stopped by Hesitation Point and enjoyed a pretty good view, too. It’s $9 per car to visit. I’d say it was worth it for at least one visit.

Phil Armstrong — Google review

It's one of our favorite state parks! The campground is huge and very wooded with large sites. Also, top rated mountain bike trails. The nearby town of Nashville has lots of nice shops, restaurants and antique stores. And multiple historic covered bridges nearby too.We love this area, nicknamed "The Little Smoky Mountains"

Elizabeth M. Lynch — Google review

It is one of the best kept natural gems that we have been to recently. Everything is so well maintained and so beautiful. Living in Colorado made us believe that we have every taste of natural beauty here, but a recent visit to Nashville,IN, and then going to Brown County State Park changed that perception. Hikes around the Ogle Lake and Waterfall at Strahl Lake were amazing, and throughout the park, scenic drives and picnic tables/shelters are there. One can stay inside the park in a lodge, cabin, or camp out. If you are a mushroom enthusiast, then you can spend days studying countless varieties. Lake Ogle is full of water dwellers, too. Wild flowers are in abundance. 100 or so feet tall tree will leave you awestruck. Restrooms and playgrounds are everywhere.

Brown County State Park is a nature lover's paradise! The park offers a diverse range of outdoor activities, from scenic hiking trails to picturesque picnic spots. The natural beauty, including the stunning views from the tower, is awe-inspiring. Well-maintained facilities and friendly staff make it a top-notch destination. Whether you're into hiking, birdwatching, or just unwinding in nature, Brown County State Park is a must-visit gem in Indiana.

Love this state park! It's one of the biggest I've been to! It has great hiking and biking trails and all the bath houses are pretty clean! Although, i wish it had more of a swimming beach, but they make up for it with a pretty big pool! Overall, i highly recommend amd would camp here again!

I love this park. Apsolutely beautiful! Plenty of hiking trails and mountain bike trails. You can also bring your horse to this park. Outdoor pool, saddle barn and all close to Nashville, Indiana!

Such a beautiful park with several scenic views. We loved spending time with our family in one of the Abe Martin Family lodges. Lots of hiking trails (for walking, mountain biking, and horseback riding), playgrounds, and picnic areas for enjoying the outdoors. Our son loved the Nature Center and the Discovery Trail right next to it. My husband and I did the trail that went around the lake and loved the views!

Camped at the Horseman's camp, first time in the last ten years and it was wonderful! The parks and local horse clubs have done an excellent job improving the campground and horse trails. Nice pit toilets, concrete manure pits, gravel sites. Trails in good condition even after rain. There are two dump stations in the horse camp so you don't have to go up to the main campground to dump.

Maelstrom Eyre — Google review

Largest and most scenic state park in Indiana. Hopped on a couple of the trails today without any issue. Passed a couple mountain bikers, who had more guts than me on these trails. A few pull offs for great views without hiking. Lakes. Camp grounds. Horse trailers. Really can’t go wrong.

Stayed one weekend camping and mountain biking. The park has diverse trails for MTB, hiking, and horse riding. The shower rooms and restroom at the campground are kept clean.Love the Hesitation Point trail. A good mix of technical then smoother end to the North Gate. The park is busy in the fall season. The views at the vista points during the season are amazing. Lots of picnic tables scattered around under the shades of trees and vista points.

I'm a bit of a wine connoisseur. I love trying new wines from different areas and have been to wineries all across the country. This place was one of my favorites. We were in town for a convention, but since the winery was so close to the hotel at which we were staying, we decided to visit one evening. We were not disappointed! They do not offer just a few of their wines to taste - you can try any of the many wines they sell. They divide their wine list into two categories - dry and sweet. Both my friend and I prefer sweet wines, so we decided to each get a tasting which included five wines for $5 then we each tried a dessert wine for $3. The tasting portions were incredibly generous. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. The wine quality was fantastic and very reasonably priced. I'm accustomed to paying nearly twice as much for a similar quality. Needless to say, my friend and I got a case of wine to bring back to the east coast with us.We'll definitely be planning on coming back when/ if we're in the area again.

We went to the Friday Food Truck event. All the food trucks were great, lots to choose from for dinner. The winery was busy as expected but the lady that handled our tasting seemed very interested in socializing with employees rather than being helpful, preoccupied. While other wineries we have visited were very attentive and helpful. All grapes used to make their wines are from California. I would prefer local vineyard support.

Annie Dougherty — Google review

I had a wonderful experience at this winery. They have an impressive selection of dry and sweet wines. And Joy, their tasting room Manager, is very knowledgeable on the nuances of wines. ... a wonderful personality. Don't miss the opportunity to visit this winery.

Nice place to just go and enjoy some wine with friends. The staff is always so nice and very helpful. They have music on Fridays and Saturdays during the summer which is always nice to go and enjoy with friends and family. They also do speical events for holidays and have an event room upstairs for party's or what have you. Definitely should stop by to check it out. The wines are always changing too, so you can always expect something new to pop up.
