I can still remember my mom toiling over her special homemade fudge when I was a kid. Sorry, Mom, but I’ve found a better way. Maybe this 3-ingredient fudge recipe isn’t BETTER than your old-fashioned version, but it delivers a QUICK fudge-fix, which is basically priceless.

I don’t have any fanciful narratives to weave about this easy 3-ingredient fudge recipe. It’s pretty basic, if I’m being honest, but that doesn’t stop me and everyone else in my family from grabbing a piece or two off the plate every single time we walk by it.

Seriously, someone should really slap my fingers at this point because I’ve had a little more fudge than any one person needs!

I also love that my beloved microwave does all of the work for this simple fudge recipe. You melt the ingredients, stir them, pour them into your prepared baking dish and refrigerate. Karate-kickBOOM!

Easy 3-Ingredient Fudge (4)

This simple but delicious quick-fudge recipe can be made in minutes using just a few ingredients and the magic if your microwave. It's proof that delicious doesn't always mean fussy or complicated!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Optional mix-ins:walnuts, candy, pretzels, etc.

Instructions

  1. Add semi-sweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter (or margarine, if that's all you have on hand) in large microwaveable bowl. Warm in microwave on medium until melted, about 3-5 minute. Be sure to stir about every minute.
  2. Pour fudge mixture into well-greased 8x8-inch glass baking dish. Refrigerate until set.
  3. Enjoy! Yes, sometimes ENJOY needs its own step in the directions. :)

yes i have made this easy fudge many times but i use nestles milk chocolate chips, more sweet if you like sweet. taste just like the old plain nestles candy bars they no longer make. like a hershey candy bar only has the nestles taste. they are great.

I made it with Skor bits. My husband couldn’t get enough of it. I used 3/4 of the bag of Skor pieces in the recipe and drizzled store bought caramel sauce. My hubby has had me make 3 batches so far this week. Lol

I have a feeling that these will turn out great. I’m licking the bowl right now and it is starting to “fudge up” a little! It tastes great!
Btw, I put crushed up peppermint candies on 1/4 and almonds on 1/4, so that we can enjoy the treat plain if we want. I have also seen recipes where they put some vanilla to “enhance the chocolate flavor”, so I put a tsp of that right before I poured the batter into my pan.
    Excited!!

I’ve made this in the past. I had run out of the semi sweet chips half way so used dark chips. Everyone loved it. Very decadent! I made a double batch this am in a 9×13 dish. In the fridge setting up.

I have made this great fudge a few times when I first read it about 2 years ago. first using the semi sweet morsels, then switching to half semi and half milk chocolate. nestles of course and then decided to make them using all milk chocolate chips. wow they were like eating a milk chocolate candy bar but in squares. so all of them were great but I am a sweets lover so that is why I went with the milk chocolate. I guess you can also use dark chocolate also if you desire. as my roommate likes dark chocolate and I the sweet kind. but either way this young lady has brought to light a wonderful chocolate wonder.

Wow It looks so good and fudgy! Can you try and make a recipe for me using the microwave and unsweetened cocoa powder instead of any chocolate chips? I ask because my son ordered me a 6pk of the cocoa from amazon and I need a recipe. You can email me at diabeticsnackerATgmail.com to be sure I see it. I do get your email news. He was supposed to be ordering me the chocolate chips!

    Dear Crissy,
I use the Borden Sweetened Condensed Milk recipe.
    1 can
18 ounces chocolate (you can probably get away with less)
    dash salt
    ~ melt and stir ~
    1 tsp vanilla.

No extra butter, no extra fat and unnecessary calories.

People call me the “fudge” lady and beg me to bring it to gatherings. Just wanted to let you know that there is no need to add butter.

Thank you. I made it like you do and it’s perfect!!

Just when I’m trying to cut down on sweets…you come up with this simple recipe.
Maybe I can control myself to make it only when I know a group is going to be around; hmm and maybe not.
